Shonen Jump Febuary 2010 Issue TalkBack

The thign about Ultimo is that it, so far, looks like almost a carbon copy of Zatch Bell.

100 Cute "kiRAB" who are really monsters of some kind connect their hearts with a chosen human to decide which one is the strongest...

Technically you forgot to add a chess master cliche. It seems like Zatch Bell, but at least it only seems it in concept, and technically, the "evil" guys are the monsters.

Did that sentence make any sense?

I bought this issue yesterday and I have to say, I really like the premise of the Toriko series. Also, it looks like Toriko himself can probably outeat Goku and Luffy. I really hope an anime series of this comes out soon.

Gintama in general. Sometimes the translation's good, and they have fun with the parts that just flat don't work in English, others it's very very textbook and stiff. Sometimes there's honorifics, sometimes there isn't, sometimes all of the swearing is intact, sometimes it isn't - stuff like that.

If you want an interesting contrast, watch the first few episodes of the anime, then skip ahead to a recent episode. Viz translated the first fifty-some odd episodes of the anime, but someone else is translating it now.

I think Ultimo will most likely wind up with 26 episodes and the final ten episodes or so diverge from the manga to make its own conclusion. Sort of the way Soul Eater broke with the manga for its final ten or so episodes.

Your Probably right...I don't know about everybody else, But I actually like it when the anime & manga have diffrent endings (most of the time that is..didn't like the E7 manga's ending at all!, Compared to the anime.)

But yea, I could see them doing that, Making the Anime as a 26 or 52 episode series with an ending diffrent from the manga.

Talking about the anime while we are on this discussion, am I the only one who thinks they should air this on Disney XD if it does happen to become one, I mean they are partners with marvel now and what not. I think it could totally work out.

that would be cool and it is a possibiltiy since Stan basically created the marvel U (along with jack kirby) but he could just as easily say he wanted to put it somewhere else.

Thats because E7 (eureka 7 right?) was originaly an anime, and the original is the best.... ALWAYS (imo), and more importantly because manga adaptations of anime have a tendency to suck, ALOT.

One Piece gets another 4 chapters and 3 articles (anime news, "Usopp the Brave", and profile book excerpt) this month. Tegami Bachi enRAB its Jump run with a special chapter. Gintama gets a showcase chapter (lesson 140, Tama's debut). Next month will have a showcase chapter of Rosario + Vampire and the end of the 3-issue Toriko preview. Maybe after that we get Bakuman. Hopefully that will stick around for more than 3 issues.

What was the Anime News?
And isn't that Issue 88?
I thought it was suppose to come with the Sogeking (or Sniperking in Viz's translation) poster?

The episodes happen to be in that set, but they mention them as being part of the next set of episodes (92-105) to be added to onepieceofficial.com.

I really doubt that happening see the pace funi is going with these dvd's I am suspecting that they will continue every other month because they know fans want these episodes fast and good.

I love how Shonen Jump in America started out as a way to sell more Yugioh carRAB, and now it has taken more of the liking of its counterpart in Japan. If only we had V-Jump, which is a Yugioh magazine in Japan.
