Shinedown

My uncle wanted these guys so I burnt there new disc for him. Checked it out real quick wasn't huge into it. It almost sounded like christian pop rock (to me).

EDIT : Just skimmed through first and latest album. I would have to stay with my opinion. I could see how some people would like it though.

I have it, and no, it's not as good as the other two. I got bored listening to it. There are a couple catchy songs, but over all it's just...meh.

Personally, I love this band, they are in my top 20 and the band would be better if it wasn't just the singer that was really talented. My favourite album is The Sound of Madness but I also like Us and Them, their first album does nothing for me though (except for Fly From the Inside.)

I saw Shinedown at the a couple months back just before their guitarist left, and they sounded great. Brent Smiths voice is just as good live as it is on record. However as fas as a performance it was alright. Not the best stage presence and the lights gave some chick a seizure. Overall it was a decent show.

I've seen shinedown 3 times live and they were great everytime. thier earlier(2004 )shows had the most energy i have ever seen displayed by their frontman. Saw them about 7 months ago, not as much energy but they played alot longer since they have more great songs now.

Glad to this thread is getting posts again. But I do agree that Leave A Whispers was there best I still like Sound of Madness. Saw them live a few months ago and I thought they were pretty good.

Nah, I don't think it's better, but it is damn good.
The Skynyrd version was played at a good frienRAB funeral though, so maybe it's a sentimental thing.
