Shinedown

yeah, guitar, bass, and the like. good melodies/harmonies in the singing too

but you know well respected doesn't always mean they're the most talented. there's plenty of unknown groups with alot of talent and stuff.

definitely. Mainstream is mostly so generic and untalented i'm surprised they even get fans.

I think it is brents voice that gets them respect, because he has a powerful voice.

I'm all about the guitar myself. I hate crappy boring riRAB for the most part. Gotta have solos too.

They probably got played on the radio because of Simple Man and 45

The first album was good but I think Sound of Madness was a little better.

Yeah I absolutely love this band!

*..Looks at title*

Ohh...errr....I thought it was something good. My mistake.
Yeah I have 3 of their songs on my pc, I don't find anything too flash about them at all.

def cant agree with anyone that says their newest album is the best. They will never have a better album than Leave a Whisper. That album was just perfect. Especially for a debut. They killed it on the first try.

How did they kill Simple Man? You mean by actually having someone that can sing it, do the singing? I give those country boys props for writing a great song, but Shinedown def has the better version.

I imagine you think the Boyz II Men version of the Beatle's Yesterday wasnt better than the Beatle's version as well.

Newsflash original doesnt always mean better. Most cases...but not always.

My bio teacher made fun of the "I'm not angry, I'm just sayin'" lyric in class last week, complete with an impression of the singer's ****ty post-grunge voice.

Best moment of my life.

love shinedown, and i will agree that the first album was the best. its what got me into the band in the first place. although the song "what a shame" has a deep meaning for me, as iv lost several people in the past year. sin with a grin is also a fun song, but nothing as intense as on Leave a Whisper. Wouldnt call it a poor album though.
