Setting Up WAP on Verizon XV6600 / Working ON MMS

These are just the settings i used on a XV6600 that worked here for reference to help those who need it.

Setting Up WAP on Verizon XV6600

Step 1 Click Start
Step 2 Phone
Step 3 Type ##3282 Talk
Step 4 Enter in SPC 000000
Step 5 Remove Anything in NAI
Step 6 Click No IP
Step 8 Click the OK button
Phone will restart
First Part is Complete

Step 1 Go to Start>Settings>Connections>Connections, Under My Work Network click Add New Modem Connection..

Step 2 I named mine Cricket_WAP, you can name it whatever you want. Make sure the modem is on Cellular Line.

Step 3 Click next, Enter #777 and Click the next Button

Step 4 for user name put [email protected] enter cricket for the password

Step 5 Leave the domain blank and click finish, now go back to your connections and click Manage Existing Connections then click Proxy Settings.

Step 6 Select the box that says This Network Connects to the Internet. Select the box under it as well * This Network Uses a Proxy Server
 
Honestly I have been searching for a MMS Program for this phone haha before i can do anything :S

The Archsoft will not work for this model :(

If you have any MMS/WAP program for this phone that will be great
this is the non camera version but its not my phone haha :)
 
Have you tried Palm Messaging from Treo 750? it replaces tmail... you can receive MMS, works perfect with SMS... but since is still in beta4 version, it has a bug when sending MMS (Out of memory error, only for AKU < 2.3), anyway, it's the only one that i've seen working on a non-camera ppc (on cricket)....and i just forgot to mention... that messaging application for SMS/MMS, is organized in a "chat thread
 
Does not work for the ppc6600 it will install but then when trying to run it, it tells me this is not a vaild wince image :(

o well i have to send the phone back to the customer, its ok anyways because its a non camera phone dont really know why youd need pic messaging
they can just use gmail.
 
so far i have been able to download pics from gmail....i have not tried and other files...but i will and let you know what happens
