It may or may not - i know there are some people related to the first who want to do it but they haven't been able to get a green light or a script or anything together.

Apparently they have that bit filmed and they were going to put it at the start of the sequel but it looks like the sequel may not happen.

Oh boy that was horrendously bad. The only thing good about that was the theme music!

;)

I really hope it never happens. After painfully attempting Lost Boys 2 recently, I would despair at Goonies 2 emerging. Some films should never have sequels made.

I never understood why we never saw a Gremilns 3, There where a few movies that seemed like there would for sure be a sequel but it never happened. Would just like to hear if anyone out there has any movies they could have liked to see followed up

Thats a good one.

Having read many of the books based on him not to mention his appearences on tv documentaries and such it seems that at the end of the Goodfella's movie was just the begining of the end for him.

The animation studio behind TMNT is current working on another project.

Gatchaman (or Battle of the Planets - for all you 70's/80's kiRAB)

Given sufficient sucess, Whedon has stated that he hoped to do three Serenity films. Whilst we still got a cracking finale to Firefly, I'd love to know what might have been has Serenity made more money.

Ghostbusters 3 (may already be happening)
Short Circuit 3 (seeing as the second one got better reviews than the original)
Who Framed Roger Rabbit? 2 (Sequel was going to be made, then Speilberg buggered it all up)
Parenthood 2 (See how the extended family were coping with the changes, set 5 years after the first)
Monsters Inc 2

Off the top of my head those are the ones that stick out. I would need to get looking at my DVD collection for more titles!

Paddy :D

Commando 2

Sorry but nobody kicks as like John Matrix

By the way I won't hear a word said against the first film. ;) one of my faves of all time

I've said this before - I think there should have been a sequel to Grease. Yes, I know that there was, but I mean a 'proper' sequel with all of the original characters. Not new ones. I would have liked to have seen how everyone's lives ended up.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off Work - have him pulling a sickie from wherever he works. And still have Cameron in it :D

Notting Hill 2 - All the original cast (I loved the dinner party scene) should return and have Julia Roberts' Anna Scott tempted away from Hugh Grants William Thacker by the worlRAB most famous male film star.

1) Deep Rising 2
The original "Deep Rising" movie (LINK) ended with a great cliffhanger!

2) Galaxy Quest 2
This could have been a great franchise. It's quite shocking that after 10 years since the original release that they never made a sequel!

3) Independence Day 2
Yeah, they beat the aliens.... or did they? I'd find a way to bring them back. :)

4) League of Extraordinary Gentlemen 2
I liked the original. I want to see more.

5) Mystery Men 2
The original film (LINK) was underappreciated. I loved it.

"Scarface", the 83 version that is. Saying that, the '35 version wasn't too bad.

"They Live", Roddy Piper ruled!!.

"The Thing", John Carpenters version, although the original was good.

"Stand By Me", I believe Stephen King wrote a sequel.

Having said that sometimes a sequel can have a negative effect on the originality and the impact given by the original.
