Sequels that haven't been made or shouldn't have been made

what film would you like to see sequeled or which ones shouldn't have been sequeled?

I'd like to see Groundhog Day sequeled somehow  along with E.T. I'd also like to see a sequels to The Shawshank Redemption and The Usual Supsects but only if they weren't poor quality sequels

I think Son Of Mask shouldn't have been made :o

Rocky II onwarRAB (yep, he's made another one) should be consigned to the depths of hell....

Remakes????

All of them. It's just done purely for profit when a studio or actor is not doing so well. Some movies may have better effects but the originals can never be beaten really.

the italian job (1969) should have had a sequel, but the italian or should i say the LA job (2003) should have been left on the cutting room floor! :(

Poltergeist III should have NEVER been made.

I'd love to finally see a TRUE sequel to Aliens directed by James Cameron.

I remember the first time I saw Alien 3... To this day, I wish I hadn't. There I was, so excited!... then I saw the first 5 minutes and my excitement quickly turned to complete and utter disgust.

OK, Now i'm going to expect lots of abuse after this, but I think Peter Jackson's King Kong is quite a let down.
They spend about 2 hours on the Island, only to have about 20 minutes in New York at the end.
Dissapointing to say the least.
...and yes I did like the original 1933 version.

I hope to God they never make sequels to any of those. The originals are far too good.

Does anyone else agree that a really bad sequal actually takes something away from the original?

Apart from The Matrix sequels which should have been shot at birth, I'd also nominate as true horrors:

WINNER - Gregory's 2 Girls - the original so good and the sequal so bad it scarred me. It still depresses me every time I think of this movie. I actually spoke to one person who thought it was better than the original, which depresses me even more. And he's a journalist. Which depresses me even more.
RUNNER UP - City Slickers 2 - useful only as an exercise in what happens when you lose comic timing

Pretty much the only sequel I really want to see - assuming all the original people are on board - is Toy Story 3. And - ahem - here is my story pitch:

Three years on. It is the final glory days for Andy's toys. However, Andy's sister has lots of shiny new toys in the room down the corridor. Two rival gangs of toys. And - of course - one falls in love with one from the rival gang. You know, West Side Story. With toys.

Ta da!

Matrix sequels... 2nd one was okay... 3rd, awful awful film.
All the Highlander sequels.
Grease 2... nuff said.

Toy Story III & IV are in production by Disney... minus Pixar... After Michael Eisner (aka Destroyer of Disney) upset Steve Jobs (CEO of Apple & Pixar) by standing before Congress, and basically blamed Apple for popularising digital piracy... Understandably, Jobs was rather upset by that, hence Disney & Pixar are no longer partners. However, Disney own the rights to Toy Story and it's sequels.

Should be made:

More Shrek & Toy Story films pleeeeease!

Men in black

Shouldn't have been made:

All the star wars "prequels" (sp?) No where near as good as the originals.

Home alone 2, 3 whatever were up to.
