sealed or ported? 15 inch l7 ?

what do yall recommend what does kicker recommend (i cant find info on them) i like rap and that good stuff. but my friend said because your getting 15 and due to the sub being 20% more surface area you want sealed just for sq but he also said the bass in a ported box people would hear you a block a way and then he said but sealed people will feel you a block away. so sealed or ported what do you all think? and i'm not even considering bandpass
and he was talking about hitting the lows better in a sealed box
 
i have 2 l7's ported man! its true your not gonna get good sound quality but it will knock pictures off walls when u drive by. i had one in a sealed box and it fried the bub cus it got too hot. ported is alot better in my opinion.
 
go for a potred... its an L7 which is a square sub is has about 2-3 extra inches of cone comparative to a circular sub which also accounts for a huge amount of bass distotion the objective of an 15" l7 is loud bass not clear bass so go for a ported enclosure becuase theres no way to make an L7 hit extreemly clean
