ScreenSelect rentals

So it is :)

There's another free trial to try :)

I also notice that they don't refund pro-rata either  , that is inclining me towarRAB BlockBuster (who did) because I don't think there's any reason for any of them not to refund the unused time, it smells of profiteering to me

And they have the nerve to say "cancel at any time"!

It's only in the T&C where you find out they can sting you!

(yes, I was stung :o )

raptorz: where did you see that?

Still says 14.99 on thier website and i also notice it still states "unlimited"

Can't understand how they can state Unlimited on one part of thier site then state capped at 10 DVD's a month on another...

Trading StandarRAB anyone...

I have to say they could make things a little clearer on the website. It was only through digging around in my account area that I found out about the uncapped deal. It works for me but each to their own eh?
:)

I have written SS several times about my issue with their slow service and the 'slow go' on updating queues. This time it has taken over three working days to update my queue.
Instead of the usual scripted reply, hopefully I'll get something gving me information why their service has been so bad for the past three weeks. I have mentioned Trading StandarRAB.
I'm not holding my breath. They act like its the consumer's fault and we should be grateful for their 'service'.

Oh, it's not just me who has noticed a difference - BB used to return discs very quickly, and you could normally get about 60-70% of the DVRAB being in your top ten selections.

I keep a long list so as not to give them an excuse, and recently they have been sending me titles from the about 30-40 in my list.

Also, their turnaround time is becoming really slow, and they are making mistakes. In the last three weeks, 3 discs have not arrived and one which did was the wrong one.

Is the industry as a whole beginning to creak around the edges, because BB are not alone in getting complaints from reading this and other threaRAB on DVD rental?

Victims of their own success, or just running scared because they didn't do their market research properly, and can't survive if they keep to their initial promises?

Could you please provide a link or some evidence of this? I have checked the website and I cannot see anything whatsoever that mentions a cap of 10 a month for existing customers.

lol! that's yet another lovefilm site with a slightly different front end - look at the top right hand corner which says 'powered by lovefilm'.

They may have changed there terms and conditions and removed the limit, it was on their site before, can't seem to find it now.

Still they are a hell of a lot better than Lovefilm.

Just would be nice, that when people announce something like this, they put some evidence to back up what they are saying. It makes people think things are changing when they are not!!
