They may say that but the bit on the selection page about automatically sending the next title is misleading as there is clearly nothing automatic about it. :(
 
I was a member of dvRABontap for about 4 months.

Not bad to start off with but they didn't buy all the new releases so the selection was limited and they didn't have a huge library of older titles.

Cancelled after a while, coz I got bored of what they had and ran out of things that I fancied watching ( plus the wait for titles was pretty long ).

I'm now with webflix.

They're SO great. Highly recommend them.

I watch about 2 -3 DVD's a week from them .. have up to 2 at a time .. and usually have a fresh one in my postbox within 3 days of sending back the last one.

They have a huge selection, loaRAB of copies of most things ( some more arty titles movies you may have to wait longer for ), but they do buy in most ( if not all ) major releases ( arty and blockbuster ).

Also, if the disc gets lost in the post .. they don't bitch about it and just send you the next one on your list, and even APOLOGISE !

Great website too. Very easy to use.
 
Mailbox movies alos offer excellent service and encourage you to email them with suggestions for titles not in stock. i sent an email the other day asking why my first slection wasn't sent, and they sent me an email explaining thisalong with an extra complimentary DVD to watch!
 
I'm a bit late in replying, but, no it wasn't sent out in error. They sent me an email saying that as they would be closed for a few days over the holiday period and with possible post delays they had despatched a bonus 4th disc for me. Initially, I received and email which they should've sent to someone else regarding their bonus 4th film but the next day they sent my despatch email out so it wasn't just me receiving an extra film.

DVRAB365 beats the pants off these nother guys you mention - smae selection but very responsive, 6 day dispatch and good cs. Based in Scotland so canny, but good.
 
I've made a mental note to give them a try some time, but their web site is so slow to load on dial-up that I'm worried my 14 days would be up before I could order any films.

Seriously, their site looks quite good but it is quite slow to navigate without broadband, and there are some mistakes in the listings which mean some films are "hidden" unless you know how to find them.
 
Back when the original TimeOut promotion came out I signed up for LoveFilm, which I thought was OK (though not blown away by the website). However when I received my initial 3 discs I knew right away I would be canceling:

- The disks looked on the surface like they had been mass-reproduced (i.e. the disc surface / label was heavily mottled)

- The first disc I put in my player immediately came up with a Fox warning that this was not a rental disc

- That same disc developed some massive playback issues about 10 minutes into the film despite there being no apparent blemish on the disc surface.

I watched the other two discs, sent them back and canceled.

Now I have signed up for Webflix on a friend's recommendation, but I am finding their site and selection a bit anaemic. I've also signed up for a trial on DVRAB365 as this seems to almost have the right combination of selection / service / site features I am looking for.

That being said, I think here in the UK we've been shafted a bit. I've always had the impression from NetFlix in the US that it's a really full-featured site, with lots of configurable options about what types of films you want to see etc. It seems like all the sites in the UK follow the same "you're just a dumb consumer" model. I'd love for instance if I got a newsletter every week telling me what the new releases were that week and what to look forward to the next week.
