Movie Tome has a database for Scream 4.

The synopsis is: When Sydney Prescott is murded in wooRABbouro there is believed to be a fourth killer.

It seems that Courtney Cox Arquette and David Arquette will be continuing their roles. Assuming of course this is true.
 
Hmm, I wouldn't be surprised if someone bought the rights, as it's a cheap and easy way to make money, but like most horror sequels (particularly in the 80s) it has absolutely nothing to do with the people who made the previous movies.

I don't know if anyone can prevent this happening of course, but I suspect not - if someone really wanted to make a Scream 4, then I'm sure it could be done.

Although it would NOT surprise me if some of the original actors signed up for it, I mean even Neve doesn't pop up in much these days. I'm sure none are desperate for the money though.

Oh and Sidney dying near the beginning does sound ridiculous and basically someone throwing around an idea from the Halloween series in which Jamie Lee's character was pointlessly killed off in the last dire sequel.
 
According to reports today Wes Craven has revealed that he had recently had breakfast with Neve Campbell. He said that she had recently spoken with the Weinsteins about coming back for Scream 4. Wes Craven also stated that this was the first he'd heard about it about a fourth Scream film but it seems Neve Campbell is seriously considering playing Sidney Prescott again!
 
well douglas adams wrote 4 books in the hitchikers trilogy :)

hollywood is after all carried by the slogan "if you can milk it..then make it"!
 
Yeah it was originally planned as a trilogy as Scream producer Cathy Konrad said in an interview in April 2003: “There's not really a fourth one (in the works). If the story's good, I love a good story. When Kevin (Williamson) sold me the original script to Scream, he also told me the other two, and I knew in my head what they were going to be. He didn't have them fully written, but he designed it as a trilogy in his mind. So, it always began and ended as one-two-three. That's how I've always thought of
it."
I know that above quote is old but that website has Scream 4 release date as January 2006 and if it was going to be released then I am sure we would have heard something about it by now!
Appartently Neve Campbell was originally cast in Cursed but was later replaced by Christina Ricci when she first signed to do Cursed she also agreed to do Scream 4 as part of the contract!
Scream writer Kevin Williamson has also stated that he has ideas for a fourth film!
 
This is so obviously fake. There's nothing on imdb and not even a proper cast list.

I can't believe you fell for it!

The only way it could be out in January was if it's already being shot, thus we'd know all about it already. Editing's a bitch. It took me months to edit a 25 minute film, albeit while having a full time job & without anyone to help.
 
According to Moviehole.net Neve Campbell has turned down to the chance to be in Scream 4!
However it does seem that Scream 4 will still be going ahead with some members of the original cast as David Arquette and Courney Cox-Arquette will return to play Gail and Dewey in the sequel!
 
I found every film in the Scream trilogy very enjoyable, and will be buying the trilogy boxed set in October. If Scream 4's as good as its prequels, then I can't wait!! :)
