Schizophrenia--professionals/well educated individuals?

As someone who has it, the meds. You need to be on them probably. Schizophrenia does not go away by itself, nor do you snap out of it. If this situation continues, get thee to a psychiatrist IMMEDIATELY. I cannot understand how, if you are diagnosed with schizophrenia, you are not on medicines already. If you are having hallucinations/voices/etc., that's a sign you should be taking meds like now.
 
For the past six days I have had virtually no symptoms. Then, the other night, the noises started up again with a vengeance. A couple days before this happened, I noticed increased apathy. Can someone tell me what the hell that was?

I'm currently not on any medication for the disorder.
I'm still functioning at a high enough level to where they don't think medication is necessary.
