Scariest film ever

the first scary movie i saw when i was about 7 it was called fright night and it was scary i have never seen it since but i doubt it was a very good movie.

and come on guys The Exorcist is just plain funny

I see several people have already beat me to mentioning The Grudge. God at forty years of age, I was scared to go to the loo at night after watching that film

The exorcist
Dont look now was pretty damn freaky
Poltigeist
The first real horror film i watched when i was a kid was the nightmare on elm street , i couldnt sleep for weeks after that because of the fear of freddie getting me in my dreams.

The Grudge (original) scared me silly really, specially the boy in the elevator thing. Eek!
The Eye didn't scare me, i just thought it was clever.
Shutter - I really wana see this but can't find it anywhere, where did you lot see it?
A Tale of Two Sisters - This did freak me out a tad but the ending was like WTF??
Into The Mirror - Didn't really scare me and again the ending was strange to say the least

The Changling was brilliant.

But Im with you with The Entity kizzie. Scared the bejeezers out of me, still cant bring myself to watch it again

Did I hear that they are planning a remake?

It's a relatively old one and not all that well known but 'The Changeling' scared the hell out of me. A very good ghost story.

I started a thread about this film in the TV Programmes forum just around Christmas... and loaRAB of people there said it was their scariest film too.

That scene you've mentioned still gives me chills today... absolutely terrifying.

It wasnt the film that was Scary but the scene in, ' An American Werewolf in London,' when he dreams that some guys knock on the door in Evil Pig masks and burst in always give me the ships!!
