I Know What You Did Last Summer, I know its not the scariest Film but When I first saw it when I was about 7 or 8 It was the first Scary Movie I ever Saw and I was so Scared.

Is that the one where the guy is in hospital in a coma?
Not sure but I just remember an old film called "Patrick" where the killer could kill people but he was always in a coma.

For me, the scariest films aren't the ones where you have an axe murderer running around and the babysitter ALWAYS going into the basement with a torch......but more the supernatural ones.

The Exorcist did and still does freak me out, no wonder that little girl in it went off the rails for a few years after.

The last scene in Carrie with Sissy Spacek and John Travolta still creeps me out.

But more recently, I watched The Descent on a plane in the middle of the night when it was pitch black and god knows how I didn't wake everyone up on board!!

The Thing. Even the sight of yummy Kurt Russell cannot make me watch it on my own  !

My scariest movie experiences were when I was about 11 years old. I was on holiday and was allowed to stay up late and watch the 2-part TV version of Salems Lot. OK, so its not at all scary when I watch it now, but I remember the scene with the vampire kid floating outside his frienRAB' bedroom window, scratching on the glass with his fingernails, asking to be let in! Gave me major nightmares for MONTHS after.......

A similar thing happened when Alien first came to TV. The chest buster scene still gives me the willies simply because it brings back memories of when I was younger!

Phantasm, hated the ball things that drilled into people's heaRAB! Zombie films scare me, not so much the films but I always have dreams afterwarRAB where I am being chased and then trapped by them, happens everytime! I think the scariest for me was 'American Werewolf in London', the initial moors bit and then the bit down the tube....not nice!

The Woman in Black is scarey for me....THAT bedroom scene scares me to this day.

Also The Wicker Man scares me as well, I keep wondering what may have been had the police had indeed rescued Howie from being barbecued.

Wanna see more Jhorrors. Only seen a few :(
Most scary... Not really sure about the title, but something like "Tennis Court". Not really movie either, more like short story. But SCARY!!!! :)

Ive said it before and I'll say it again - The Excorcist. Me and my mate watched it on our own with the lights off in my flat once, needless to say I had to hold her hand to go to the downstairs loo!!

Where the priest is dreaming and the devils face flashes up, eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Also The Descent, not really scary as such but very jumpy. The Grudge was a good one I thought, the duvet scene really freaked me out. I agree with someone on here when they said about zombie films, they always care me and give me nightmares, yet I can't stop watching them!!

If things like The Grudge/Japanese horror and The Eye(not Japanese) scare you, I totally recommend a Thai horror film called Shutter. And the wonderful Korean film A Tale of Two Sisters. Try Into The Mirror also.
