Rumor: E7/ N9 / N98 / whatever this thing is

OMG...lovin it! thanks for the vid.

So this is for sure a symbian device then? I may be beating the horse to death, but have been reading the forums and i thought i saw the n8 as being the last device with symbian, this is the n9...so on and so forth. Just want to make sure what teh OS will be. (although at this point, i dont know if it will matter!! I may be sold!)

Takai, and based on my [relatively recent] conversations, I'm not sure it's an E-series device and I'm not confident it will get to market. I will try and get more info, but I think that won't happen until N8 hooplah dies down.

wondering if anyone has any more news of this...there's been plenty more stuff on the n8, but my preference would be this keyboard version

This is the 2010 phone I'm waiting to get. :p

I think it's coming out this year shortly after N8.

The logic should be:

N8 replaced the N86 as the camera phone

N9/E7 (or whatever) replaces the N97s

N920 replace the N900 (look up eldar's phone list on mobile-review forum)

The N920 on his list has been there since the N900 was unveiled; new meego hardware is coming this year but it could be something othr than that.

Per his articles, the N920 was a keyboardless maemo5 phone.

Not much really afaik.. what specifically did you want to know? :) The tech specs seem to be pretty much known, and its S^3 so the main remaining questions seem to be: when will it be out (some leaks say November) and will it be E Series (only really relevant in terms of some not that major apps/software differentiation and perhaps build quality; my guess is still on "N8 qwerty") or not?

it'll prob be the N8-01 or whatever....
the phone that looks like an E75 w/ a touch screen will prob be the E7
and that other slider proto in the vid that was pulled will prob be the N9, Meego powered N900 replacement....

hopefully we'll hear news in late August or early Sept w/ November releases....
isn't Nokia World in Sept...??

Yup, sounds about right (not that I know). Heard the material on the N9 is interesting (on one of the protos at least that is).

Nokia World is 14-15 Sep in London. Hope they announce all devices at once this time, and release them as soon as they are ready to get at least some momentum going, rather than trying to be overly clever with staggered timing etc..
