This is the second purchase I have made from your Company for Route66 Mobile 7.
On the 9th. January 2006 I purchased the product for my Nokia N70 Invoice Number **************
Having upgraded my phone to the Nokia N80 I was very keen to have Route66 for the phone so was very pleased when you released the new version especially at an upgrade price of 49 euro.
When I tried to purchase the upgrade I was told I was out of the upgrade time limit so I decided to pay the full price again and ordered the new version on 27th. June 2006 invoice number *********
You are now telling me that the product is faulty and won't run on my phone.
I am not at all happy with this and would like a full refund of my second purchase, as under the sale of goods act it is "not fit for purpose ".
Yours sincerely
Robert Stubbs.

Hi Mirela,
Thank you very much for the quick reply to my cry for help.
I have followed your instructions to the letter, and done everything you suggested.
Unfortunately it has not solved the problem.
Within minutes of connecting to the GPS receiver the phone looses the connection and freezes on the Route66 screen saying No GPS. The only thing I can do at that point is exit the program and start again.
Can you offer any further help ?
Bob

Dear Mr. Stubbs,
We kindly ask you to format the phone by entering *#7370# code 12345. Please remove the memory card while doing it.
Then please follow the steps below in order to install the apllication:
1. Format the miniSD in FAT, not FAT32.
1. Copy manually the content of MultiMediaCardImage to the memory card.
2. Insert the memory card in the phone. A dialogue ?Installing?? should appear.
3. If the dialogue does not appear then you should look for Mobile 7 in Application Manager. There are two possible messages:
-Mobile 7 installed
-Mobile 7 uninstalled.
4. Mobile 7 installed means that the application has been installed and you can look for it in Menu > My Own.
5. Mobile 7 uninstalled means that you should install the application by choosing Options > Install. If the installation cannot be performed, please tell us the error message you receive.
Kind regards,
Mirela MARUNTIS

Route 66 Mobile 7 - Britain

I have installed Route66 onto my Nokia N80 phone.
It installs okay - however, as soon as I try to use it in the car within minutes, sometimes seconds it crashes and returns the phone to the phone stanby screen.
My N80 was the original firmware v 3.0614.0.3
I have flashed the new firmware to the phone so I am now on v 3.0617.0.6 and this has made no difference.
I have wiped the memoery card and reinstalled Roure66 again made no difference.
I am using a Tom Tom Mk 2 GPS receiver which works perfectly well with my Nokia N70 and Route 66.
I see comparing the two versions of route 66 that the original for the N70 had a setting in the settings menu to set a default GPS receiver and the new version does not have this.
I suspect the software looses the GPS signal and can't re-establish it.
Please help as at the moment the new version is totally unusable.
Many thanks
