Most people I know don't like Rocky V, but when I ask why they say - "well it just is".... no real answer why. I am sure people don't give it a chance and part of the reason why it bombed was because Stallone's star status was dwindling.
As you can guess, I was a huge fan of the movie. Thought it was storyline based (unlike 3 and 4 especially) - and sort of captured the essence of the orignial (and to some degree the sequel). Is it really because there is no "Rocky" training montage why people don't like it?
Most people I speak too rate Rocky 4 as the best... even above the Oscar winning original. Its a good little action flick but its really it is too short a film - its 90 minutes but much of it is filler.
Like the final movie also, if I had to order them it would be.
1, 5, 2, 6, 3, 4.
I heard Stallone saying he hates how 5 turned out, but then when asked why he doesn't say.
Can someone please say what was so wrong with five. Was it the fact they didn't fight it out in the ring? Was it the little training regime? I thought in terms of the Rocky sequels its was quite realistic and much more concievable than 3 and 4.
