I'm upgrading my system, i purchased two 12" FI btl's fully loaded and i just ordered a Rockford Fosgate t40001bd.. What size alternator should i get. Would 200 be enough also. i plan on ordering a yellow top or red top battery will one be okay or should i get two

A 200A alternator will provide a ton of audio power. Unless you plan to try to run that 4kw amp at near full volume a LOT of the time it should cover you.
You'll also need to upgrade your 3 main charging system wires -- alt output to batt (+), batt (-) to chassis and engine block to chassis.

The capacitor suggestion was ignorant. For one, they're Farad's, and for another - capacitors are simply very small batteries that charge and discharge faster than a standard starting battery, but the amount of energy they provide would have no effect at all on an amp that size.

i dont know bout the alternator but if you get a 2 farat capacitor (raptor) you really should need an alternator. or a new battery. Thats what the capacitor is for to hold constant flow to your amp and still have juice for your car too. It was what i did in my 2004 silverado. I have two 12's pioneer champion series 1200 watts. Phoenix Gold amp 1500 watts, and a 2 farat capacitor. And my system worked sweet and bumped clear and smooth
