Rock 'n' Chips - Only Fools and Horses Prequel

Based on the recent BBC drama portfolio (not being a period drama and not based on some non entity book) it was alright

Nothing groundbreaking and I still cannnot fathom how Phil Daniels made it as an actor. He's bloody awful

I really enjoyed it - it was something my son and I could watch together, as he loves OFAH.

I'd watch it a second time as I missed some of the jokes.

I think it may be a problem for the show if it's not like OFAH. Most people watching are likely to expect something in the same vein, and if it's not, there's likely to be widespread disappointment even if it's good.

Yes, and they got that a bit wrong, too. They showed the front of a relatively modern underground train which had two large headlamps. In 1960 trains on the Northern Line (or any other line for that matter) just had very small lights at the front which were on one side only.

Well, less than 24 hours to go!

I can't wait! I really hope the BBC commission a series!

A Christmas Special this year would be nice :)

Well, taking it for what it was, which was a drama with a few comedy moments, that was pretty good wasn't it? Could have done without Robert Daws creepy cinema owner, but otherwise no complaints from me and most importantly didn't do any harm at all to the existing series.

For those saying about a sequel prequel (or should that be prequel sequal?;) ) I would guess there will be more, what with Freddie and Joan both having to die and Reg abandoning his son/s. Expect further episode's. Doubt it'll be a series though. More like a series of one off episodes.

That scene was shot at Aldwych, which is always used for these types of scenes. The train's just an old one they have sitting in a tunnel there.

Just seen this confirmed on the BBC site and only had one reaction...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!:(:(

I agree. Should have left it alone because finally making their fortune was the perfect end and one of the funniest episodes ever! :D:D:D

I know :)
I was just stating that it was a last minute decision to show the SD version filmised. Indeed it was that someone, somewhere down the line at the last minute ... well the last week I believe.
