Am I the only one who thinks this is a very bad idea?
Sony, the new owners of the entire movie catalogue of MGM have decided to remake the original RoboCop movie, and not only that, but they are going to remake Predator aswell.
Paul Verhoven won't touch the Robo remake with a bargepole, and Peter Weller seems to be staying away aswell, despite the fact that both Verhoven and Weller said they would like to do another film, but only a proper sequel to Verhovens 1987 original.
Who do you think will direct and play the main roles? Aren't Hollywood getting a little desperate now, where all they can do is remake near perfect films to make them more 'modern'?
Why should they be allowed to get away with this, they wouldn't remake classics like "It's A Wonderful Life" or "Gone With The Wind", so why do it to more recent but just as loved classics too?
