I have a girl friend, I don't live with her, we've been together for a little over 1.5 years, she has a son who is ten, she is seven years older than me, I am 26, in my family, it is the custom that the male should always be older than the female, my family doesn't know her age, they've met her and her son, they think they are nice and everything, my parents and grand parents have been very clear, all my adult life, that should I get married, I should be the older spouse or I will be out of the family, I don't care about inheritances or such, but I do love my family and they have very high expectations from me, at the same time, I like my girl friend, we don't see each other getting married and having kids yet, but who knows, I honestly don't know what to do, neither side knows what the other one wants, I don't know what to do. In retrospect I do see that it is my fault that things got this far without me saying anything to either side and now, I can break up with her and move on or stay and be out of my family, I am lost right now
