Regarding Christmas Episodes

Agreed. Linus' scene works like a charm since it's just so natural and in-character for him. Linus always cited Bible quotes in the strip, so this is possibly the most natural religious message in a not explicitly religious special.

A Garfield Christmas also has Doc Boy saying grace, and has "It Came Upon the Midnight Clear", a freaking hymn, playing in the background in one scene. Other media, like The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, have religious overtones, but even though it centers around a Christmas play it doesn't shove its messages down the reader's throat.

Also agreed.Chowder is in its own world, so there's nothing wrong with "Knishmas". It almost makes more sense that way.

Agreed entirely.

I don't mind christmas specials about santa, or ones about the actual christmas story (Little drummerboy is one of my favriotes!) I think when it comes doen to it Its all about the politiacans stupid political correctness (wich is dumb caue you can never make everyone happy!) that gets in the way I mean anyone who's offended by a old man in a red suit gining away gifts or a yound babe in a manger under a star is just a big BAH HUMBUG! I mean the Very Essence of CHristmas is to bring cheer & goodwill to your fellow man. We should be able to put aside our differances and realize that when it all comes down to it were all human and we all deserve to a little happness in our lives. Ecspecially considering the needlessly Chaoric, Greedy & immoral state of the world today. I mean thats what I love about Christmas. Its the one day of the year when the whole worlds one big family. :crying: :D
