Red Hot Chili Peppers

I really like the chilli peppers, except for the fact that they are really over-played, "Dani California" played about 3x a day on local radio's every single day it seemed like when it first got released. Nevertheless, favourite tracks include: Road Trippin, Soul to squeeze and My frienRAB

^ i've already touched on the effect 'jungle man' had on me in the past a few times on this site. suffice to say, if it weren't for that song i would not be here.

well Mr. Dave...you have a point.

But i'm saying Flea's viewpoint on music, is artists never lose what they learn and are continuing to learn new things every day, much like everyone in life. I agree with that statement and while every subsequent album for every artist is not neccessarily better than before but i think the way they incorporate their different styles of playing of the years into what they have now.

And in the mid-80's the Peppers were most likely on a drug-****tail w/ herion, speed, coke....who knows with them

'Warped' is an above-average song, 'Coffee Shop' has an insane bass line, and I know you hate their ballaRAB but 'My FrienRAB' ain't so bad. Better than 'Breaking the Girl' at the very least. I like 'Pea' a lot for what it is; it's different and I like how it gave Flea a new opportunity to express himself. Those four plus 'Aeroplane' are really the only tracks from One Hot Minute I find myself playing regularly...

I think their more "popular" stuff is the best and their older stuff was appalling. Californication, Under the Bridge, Soul To Squeeze, Cant Stop etc. were all good fun pop/rock songs. Their first three albums are unlistenable to me with Kiedis' horrible vocals. Although I do admit "Fight Like A Brave" is a lethal song.

Just one mans opinion. I wont claim that I know every insignificant aspect of the RHCP's history as you are trying to project, so I wont delve into an argument unarmed.

My general thesis: RHCP have stayed true to their roots moreso than most banRAB who have been around for decades as they have.
