In a lab that i'm working in, after i feed the hep-2 cells, and incubate it..
the next day i remove the growth medium and refeed the cells, i notice that the cells..

1) attach to the flask
2) grows bigger

The cells mentioned are Hep-2 cells, which are tumour cells of the human larynx..

the question is now,
1) why the cells are attached to the flask
2) why cells grow bigger..is it because being a tumour cell, they are further mutating or is it because the cells are being 'fed'?
3) the cells spread across the surface of flask..that means the molayer is more confluent..with more cells..so do they undergo cell division?
