(REC)/Quarantine

Absolutely loved [Rec]! Scared me to death!!
Qurantine won't be anywhere near as scary as it I don't think.. however, Im glad to see Jennifer Carpenter (Exorcism of Emily Rose) in it, she's a very good actress.
I am looking forward to watching it though, as I didn't get to see [Rec] in the cinema.

Oh. Whatever it was, the animated menu gave it away. Wasn't it
the thing that was walking about in the dark at the end?

I thought it was quite realistically done, right up until when
she was playing the tape. The tape always stopped conveniently exactly at the beginning of a significant sentence.

Don't listen to GG, she enjoyed Hostel II :p

I don't think many have seen a film that is scary now, no matter how good. Can't really remember the last time I watched a film that was SCARY just disturbing. Last film that had an effect on me was Martyrs, excellent French Horror film.

I enjoyed not because its a good movie, cause it was clearly crap, but because i found it funny. But i'm not saying rec isn't a good movie just not as good as everyone says it is, for me it was just another average horror.

But i agree with Ultraviolet horror films can be very disturbing and a bit freaky but they just don't really scare me, but maybe thats because i'm watching the cr*p ones. :D

Quite liked [REC]. Had no idea it was all in Spanish before I started watching it :D I Expected it to be as predictable as Blair Witch, not that I didn't see some of the twists coming, but they were executed well. Forgotten most of the film already, time to watch it again.

OMG, there's a REC 2!!!! Omg loved the 1st the scariest film fir me since 28 Days, so creepy , will the 2nd one be hand held though? And how will the story go... Maybe she survived?

I love REC but the advert for Quarantine kinda ruins it for people (especially the end).
Also Dead Set by BB, my mother had it on, kinda ripped off every zombie horror film that's existed.

A bit slow on the uptake, but I finally saw Rec last night, and I have to say I really enjoyed it! Much more effective than the Blair Witch Project with the use of the first person camera, although the last few minutes when the religious element came into it didn't gel that well with the rest of the film. I thought the girl was very good so am pleased she's going to be in the sequel, although I have to say she looked pretty done-for at the end of the first one :D

I lost track, too. I think
it was some random other person, most likely the original old woman who bit the fireman.

The bit where
her rewinding of the tape is caught on the same tape
is what broke it for me.
