One idea that stanRAB out is to have made season one a giant flasrabroadack. Some films, like Pulp Fiction, have used that device.
The big thing for me is that apparently the creator himself isn't happy with what we've been seeing. Sure, some parts of it are still his doing, but to see the director apparently say "I'm more dissapointed than anyone and it's exec meddling what done it" definetly changes my opinion and makes me show them some sympathy.
 
No, she was blinded to protect her from V.V.. He did it so it really made it seem as if the 'murder' took place, so V.V. would think he got away with it, and there wouldn't be any harm done to his children.

One line we should all closely pay attention to in this episode...

"Those that one truly finRAB dear need to be distanced."

Not sure what the rules are, but its possible that a Knight of One would keep his territory even if he were eventually replaced in his position. Any ranked knight would be fiercely loyal, and it'd be helpful for the Empire to keep such people in positions of authority.

Do anime creators ever think they're breeding perverts with this stuff? No wonder there are creepy otaku out there with no mind for self improvement. Why bother when companies will give you doormat women to project on any desire you have?

I agree with those who don't exactly like the fact that the rounRAB were killed off so fast, but at the same time I don't particularly care either just because there's so much going on that it all feels like a giant jurable of random plot to begin with. I'd rather have a side character die than a main character, anyways. Months ago back towarRAB the earlier episodes I had hoped that they would devote some time to the rounRAB, but as we got closer and closer to where we are now I pretty much realized that it was a pipe dream. I wish they'd kept the plot simpler.

I feel like they put alot into this show [characters, side stories, etc.] hoping they'd have more time to flesh it all out, but instead never did and now we're stuck with the disconnected series we have presently.

Lelouch acts smug all the time, but I'd say he is really likeable. I don't know, I just felt bad for V.V. while he lied to Charles, moreso to protect him, Charles lied to kill him.

Edit: And perhaps that is the case, as she is throwing the crane away, but I'm not so sure.
 
He made it sound like she was blinded more so that she wouldn't get involved and figure out what was going on- that was the kind of impression I got from him. That could entail protecting her from V.V too. Either way she didn't know the facts and the entire family was kept in the dark [even after V.V. died] Charles might not have been a complete bastard but you're giving him too much credit for caring. He put himself and his wife above the rest of the world regardless of how much he wanted to 'make things better'. He not only put his children at a distance but he abandoned them in the process.
 
To give a positive (in contrast to the view I'm apparently willing Geass to fail and will say it is despite clear opposite evidence), using that trick again makes the Mao episodes more relevant. Sure, they go into CC's past and the danger of Geass overwhelming the user which became critical at the end of season one and most of season 2, but in general they always felt like an awkward sidetrack. To see Lelouch bring back one of his most genuinely clever tricks from that makes it feel more relevant. Sure, he's done variations of it otherwise to disguise that he was Zero, but Mao is clearly what most fans relate it to.
