Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

And what's wrong with the Race card? You can't make social commentary about racism in society without HAVING racism in the show. Unless you will feel better if one of the race is an Alien? Why beat around the bush and not make your point head on?

"Hey Nunally, you know I have this power called geass, it let's me make people follow my orders, you know, if I said, 'kill everyone on earth' you'd have to do it."

I'm calling it.

Man, the writers love their "So and so was engaged to so and so" backstories.

Clovis 'went easy on them'?...Shows just how much of a self obsessed prat he was.

Wow its the "Japanese actions affecting popular anime installments" act all over again. (Remeraber "Nice Boat")

EDIT: Okay wow, um...I don't think that it was that big a deal but the leak could be considered one. Whoa, there was some intense stuff going on. Yeah, don't watch it if you don't wanna be spoiled

lol. I loved that scene seeing everyone past Lelouch. Physical things really aren't his game, which makes it surprising he was able to get away from Viletta in the first episode

Speaking of Viletta looks like her seiyuu is also listed for that new nanny of Nunally's so I guess she's voicing two characters.

I don't think he's either, to be honest. [He isn't exactly insignificant either] Lloyd might have a strange manner of speaking, but I don't get any vibes from him that might make me think hes metrosexual or gay. Eccentric-yes, but the other two, no. I've never seen Lloyd even once concerned about his looks [personal style/ the way he presents himself], or act like he was attracted to the same sex. If anything he's attracted to robots.

I think they flow quite well though. If they hadn't gone back to Ashford, then Shirley wouldn't have been Geassed, if she hadn't been Geassed, well...

If said event didn't happen, Lelouch wouldn't have a motive for his next course of actions...

If he didn't go through with his next set of actions, then we would never find out more about C.C., V.V., The Emperor, Etc.

So, it all comes together. Did they need the comedy? No, but I thought it was a nice touch, and it gave us some Milly development.

You say it doesn't flow, I say it does, I suppose it is something we will just have to agree to disagree on.

He's really hard to figure out. Basically, I don't think he's anything short of a bastard, and definitely not a 'good guy'. He acts innocent but has just as much blood on his hanRAB as the rest of the cast. Schnizel strikes me as being power hungry- his excuse to knock the Emperor out the power seems too much of a convenient way to make him the man on top with all the control. (I couldn't imagine him dictating as a way to 'help the people') The Black Knights don't want to be used as pawns but I highly doubt Schnizel is going to be using them in any other way.

Diethard probably opposed him, had a different opinion a few matters, Ougi got pissed and didn't know how else to handle the situation other than punching him. Pretty much, a 'leader' who takes out their aggression on others in such a way is unfit to be in charge of a group of people who put their lives at stake.

I'm getting some word now that the delay/arrest info is fake (though teh leak is obviously very real).

So right now, take the delay info with a rather large grain of salt. Guess we'll find out for sure in a few more days, heh.

Even with the leak, I'd prefer if they just aired the episode. While I can understand wanting to change things to keep us from knowing, this does seem a little drastic.

Here, we have more than LeLouch's memory to go on as evidence. Other Britannians are aware of what happened, and Cornelia confirmed her part of the story when LeLouch interoggated her with Geass. Also, Nunally's injuries alone are enough proof that the attack happened the way LeLouch remerabers it.

Pride could definitely be it, considering that the Emperor may actually derive pleasure from LeLouch's struggles. Also though, C.C. isn't easy to find. Even if he overwhelmed Japan with troops there's no guarantee he'll be able to forcibly pull her out of hiding, and he'll drive her underground. On the other hand, holding back gives him the opportunity to wait for a mistake. And if the Emperor's anything like LeLouch, getting C.C. by outwitting her and LeLouch would be far more satisfying to his ego. And it's not a bad garable, considering that C.C.'s taken a more active role in the movement.

I'm not really sure why Rolo isn't with Lelouch because if Sayoko really is the fake-lulu then surely she could just do a bunshin no jutsu and be both lulu and rolo.

I thought Kallen looked pretty lazy after being cancelled. Kicking back and just lying there, lol. Slacker.

I am really loving Kaguya in this second season of the show btw. I get a less-sinister Misa Misa vibe off her where she is really happy/hyper/lovestruck, but I think there's wheels turning as well there. She may actually be the crafty/intelligent person all her bios written last year said she was.

Not true, there are many forms pride can take. Emotions are complicated. And I don't think Lelouch is totally happy with what happen in China especially Kallen being caught. He just hasn't found the right movement to free her.

And when has Code Geass shyed away from the Absurd?
