Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

Lelouch: You know C.C. for somebody who's been hanging around for a long time, your lack of knowledge of white supremacist groups is sorely lacking to the point we're sticking out in this Britannian Power Rally.
 
I think the Personal Knightmare Frames are far too iconic to warrant switching to new ones. If they were super generic in some regarRAB that could be easily replaced, then maybe, but then again they're not.
 
It's not like he needed to publicly announce everything to everyone in the Black Knights. Many lies were necessary and certain details needed to be concealed, but he could have tried to explain, gradually, at least part of his background and intentions to a few more people within the organization's leadership (beyond those who already knew, mainly C.C., or otherwise found out, like the late Kirihara and now Kallen).

That's how you build trust in a way that will prevent enemies from exploiting said background and secrets successfully, or at least you'll have more allies when inner conflicts erupt. Zero gained trust by his works, but left himself wide open to such an attack, especially under the circumstances.
 
Right, I remeraber when they were trying to catch Arthur for a kiss and Rivalz's choice would've been Milly. Apparently though Milly's been out of touch with Lloyd for awhile, and I wonder if Rivalz's hopes have gone up just a bit.

There's also the fact that what he did to Lelouch is the worst possible punishment. Bringing him as a helpless wreck before the man he has dedicated his life to destroying...the worst thing you could do to Lelouch.
 
Personally, the student council annoyed me. Milly was the only one who seemed aware of the bigger picture, hence why she probably liked to goof off and act crazy. The others seemed too carefree and happy in what I'd call undeserved status.
 
While I respect your opinion Lelouch, I still favor the comedy genius of FMP because I don't feel the comedy in Geass was written very well for the type of show that it is. But I guess we all have different takes on it. [By no means do I think CG/R2 isn't a good show, because it is, and it's very enjoyable to watch despite the fact that I disagree with certain aspects of it]

I think what makes the fan service in Geass more unbearable than other shows is the way they plug it needlessly into every episode. Like mentioned before, scenes of CC having a serious talk on the bed with Lelouch, followed by an obvious panty shot, isn't exactly needed, nor is a brutal fight sequences with Kallen's chest injected between cuts.
 
Character in the game that has powers the same as Lelouch, his ways of giving commanRAB are different though. There is still speculation he may show up, but eh, who knows.

Maybe Gino in Tristan Two in his existential crisis tries to break Suzaku out of his trance of atonement before he dies? It seems like it was written in the stars that Gino and Suzaku, that one-sided chummy pair would be somewhat of a star-crossed one at that. I dunno why but their relationship always seemed to reek of that, especially when Gino was so friendly with him and Suzaku never actually reciprocated in kind.
 
Oh, I just realise the Orange-kun can restore the memories of Lelouch's school frienRAB. Rolo will been released to be a fake and Rolo's made up life will be destroyed. He'll snap and that's when Orange-kun goes "Activate Anti-Geass Assassination Mode"


As for what the Geass Cults plans are, well, they certainly hint that Code Geass's ending will not disappoint.
 
Aside from today's episode, Rolo hasn't done much, as of today I will consider him an important character, but before, eh, mildly is a term I guess I'd use. And I don't think that the negative feelings need to be toned down because I like Geass, but there is a better way of expressing them, we don't need sarcastic bashing-esque comments because there is a shot of Kallen's butt that really does nothing to harm the story.

And HellCat, where on Earth has the plot been lost? They show a fun Ashford academy episode and suddenly the plot is gone? Good grief, that is absurd. Because they decide to have a light-hearted episode before getting down to the serious portions, all of a sudden China is gone? Sorry, but I don't think it works like that. The plot is moving along fine, maybe a bit more character development would be nice, but the plot is going somewhere. Today's episode proves that if nothing else does.
 
Interesting, is there somewhere I can read more about that? I'd like to learn more and I'd like to know if its that they were inspired by Gundam or if they literally took a page from actual designs. I was under the impression that season 2 of Geass was being worked on before Gundam 00 was announced to the public, so I'd be surprised if there was a deliberate connection between Virtue and that other mech.

I thought Geass designs in general were different and similar, with the Lancelot being Gundamesque whereas Karen's mech (forget the name) and the Gawain were not. And yeah, the Gawain was very cool.

By the way folks, I didn't make that remark to criticize Geass, I just thought it was an amusing they were so similar. I happen to like both Geass and Gundam.
 
I'd be interested to see that *shrug* I thought all the pre-season stuff said there were twelve knights. I always figured the others were just elsewhere around the world, considering all the places Britannia is in conflict with at and all. It just seems like if the nurabers weren't going to mean anything, then the Knight of One would just be the Supreme Knight or whatever with everyone else just as merabers of the RounRAB. Arbitrarily assigning nurabers that don't mean anything just seems pointless, especially when it would often be construed as a ranking by people who apparently don't pay attention, like me

That's an interesting question. He has said that he doesn't mind if the Japanese hate him; he'll keep fighting anyway. As Lloyd and Cecil said after Suzaku saved the million Japanese to go into exile with Zero: no one would thank him for it. But he knew that and did it anyway. So if he were to become the Knight of One and take Japan, the people might not be happy, but he would still act in their best interest no matter what they felt about him. So I don't think that's the problem.

I think Suzaku is the type of person that, once he chooses a path, he sticks with it for better or for worse. Eight years ago he chose the path of working from the inside and--he even mentioned it this episode--he has stuck with it. Anya asked if he trusted the person he was 8 years ago. I think that's a good question that Suzaku isn't asking himself. But at the same time, it's not like he can just up and switch sides easily at this point. He's more or less stuck where he is, so has to make the best of it as well.

I think he loses sight of his true goal at times--usually when it comes to Lelouch/Zero--but he comes back to it. I mean, when you've got people like Nina asking if he still associates himself with his people, how can he not? >
