Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

Suzaku is like a bastard Athrun. Had Athrun been like Suzaku he'd have taken Justice, flown out and killed Kira then dragged Freedom back to PLANT for his victory parade.

I don't see any reason to root for the guy. He's a hypocrit. Likewise, I hope we don't get a SEED "FrienRAB forever!" ending between the two.

It's why we love Lelouch. Besides, who HASN'T held a child at gunpoint as part of a desperate strategy in an ongoing political machination?

Nunally's natural senses wouldn't be completely out of the ball-park. To me, it seemed a tad more reasonable outcome than a long convoluted theory that Lelouch somehow gained both a Code and a Geass from the little encounter with Charles.

And if we are looking at reasonable actions... how would Lelouch escape? I'd be pretty sure Suzaku/Zero would make sure that Lelouch is dead. After all, he did go out of his way for Lulu during the Zero Requiem, he should get what they agreed on. And with armies, resistance, and crowRAB of pedestrians watching Lelouch's dead corpse, I'm be very disappointed if he just "vanished." None of the army would help him, being too busy with the resistance. Suzaku/Zero would just kill him if he spotted him, and Nunally is still handicapped and chained. And last I saw, C2 was at a church praying for Lulu's soul and crying, so...

My point, being as thinking logically wouldn't work for Lulu's survival.

And what would Lulu gain for living? Why would he choose a path that would risk destroying the goal he wanted to achieve for so long? Ending his life as a villain, no longer having the chance to make up for it, makes more sense to me. If he's immortal, what's anyone going to do? He could now live on forever, no one could wipe him out, and he could continue his reign as an immortal 'god.' And with the 'Code Geass' theory going on, he could use his mind-controlling Geass and be immortal. The nonsense of having Charles' Code and C2's Geass is more confusing and complicated than a simple story of Lelouch dying and leaving the world hated, while simply being renowned as a hero to the audience.

As for the rest, his death would form a definite conclusion. If he was alive, then more of the same would come out of Sunrise's rear-end, and CG would become the next Inuyasha or BLEACH. Lulu's death, I believe, saved R2 from its plot-twist-happy endings in the latter half. It shut the book on the story, and gave a new life to the rest of the characters. To see it taken away, because someone at the writing staff wants Lulu to live for another season, is just plain sickening.

And I'm glad Ichiro confirmed his death. 'Because nothing is more definite of an answer than what comes out of the actual writer's mouth. Not a theorist, nor a hardcore fan, but the man who made the story with his own two hanRAB and mind. A pure definition of the term 'canon,' no doubt about it. And reinterpreting it just seems... desperate, IMO.

No, its more than alright to express your opinion. I especially find it interesting that someone enjoyed code geass for the exact opposite reasons that I did. Just goes to show you that CG had a little something for everyone to enjoy.

But then that begs the question if any considered success is really a success and any considered failure is really a failure, in all that subjective terms of ideas.

I wanna get in on the philosophyspeak too. Horrible comparison but that's about the best thing I can come up with in terms of near soulcrushing depth that corabines science fiction, war, and politics that Geass may want to become based on this discussion thread.

Well, you'd hope she would be there for the attack on the Geass cult, but I suppose we have no way of knowing where she actually is right now. I'm assuming she's in China though, because she would've gotten involved if she had been in Japan when Jeremiah came to town.

Although that begs the question of the reasons why the Gaza-C was ever pink in the first place (Given the rather interesting shift of a majority male demographic-oriented series in the 1980s to something much more diverse). I'm curious.

Well, lulu is bent underneath her with her on top bent over him..................my mind is so far in the gutter.

Rivalz has had feeling for Milly since the first season. Rewatch the show and you'll notice there are a ton of scenes hinting at it.

And so the Nightmare of Nunnally begins (pun on the manga intended)

Looks like I know where I'm not wanted in terms of philosophy.

Ah well. In terms of your scenario, GWOtaku, I do hope that if that serves as exposition in terms of country, I hope that the writers are smart enough not to make them all Clone Britannias and all that. It's easy to say that press materials and series guides say that they're not, but you can never be too sure.

Well. Her mother became a large source for her will to fight. She gave her a reason to pull for the Japanese with all of her heart, not just a part.

But, honestly, I think the backstory would have been kind of cool, but unneccesary at the same time I suppose, we already know why she is fighting and what she wants.

And Kallen is supposed to be confronting Lelouch and admitting her true feelings, or that is what a Magazine said, but I am pretty sure it, as a source, has been questions, as it has only been right 50/50 or so.

OUGI: And that's how we were rescued.
KALLEN: So what you're telling me is that she jumped down and caught you both while you were already falling?
OUGI: That's right!
TODOH: Even though gravity pulls every object down at the same rate?
OUGI: Uh...yes.
DIETHARD: And you miraculously landed safely even though there were sharp rocks below?
OUGI: Yeeeeeaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh.
KALLEN: How do you expect us to believe such a BS story?
OUGI: Uh. Well. A ninja did it.
EVERYONE BUT KALLEN: OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH.
NAGISA: It makes perfect sense now!
KALLEN: No it doesn't--
EVERYONE ELSE: SHUSH!

Can't help it. Will the guidebook reveal him to be smart or a jerk until the very end? Or will it be full of blank pages?!

Somewhere out there it sits closed, unopened, as if to mock us......

Guilford's never shown any reason to make us believe he's blind other than wearing those cool sunglasses. Matched with the new hairdo, maybe he's just trying to hid himself from the public view, or the Black Knights for that matter until he's settled himself back into society after what ever happened during the explosion. Or maybe he just likes sunglasses.

Oh XD. I was quite pissed off when I found out Lelouch died, still am just because they showed him all bloodied up- but regardless, his death doesn't take away from the epic-ness of the episode and even if the arabiguity [depending upon on what you believe his fate was] at the end is eventually revealed [quick! Somebody start writing letter to the company!], I'll still feel good about the events that took place *is trying to repair the wall she smashed after finding out Lelouch 'died'*. It's funny, Saturday night me and phw were talking about possible outcomes, and one of them happened to be what either of us would turn into if Lelouch or Suzaku happened to die. It's hard to imagine that episode 25 was capable of being handled that well XD *hasn't lost her mind or taken up drugs*

Once you watch a series in general from start to finish, you can't help but feel at least a little tweak in your heart no matter how shaky or disconnected the plot was. I felt that during the last episode everything came together and the producers somehow made it seem like they knew what they were doing the entire time. Past events I figured had no place in the show now make a little bit of sense. Even the worst of characters we somehow become attached to.
I think we as normal and judgmental humans assume two people or especially characters together are automatically couple. Me and my best friend have been mistaken for being in a relationship since the 6 years we've known each other even though that's far from true (not to mention he's gay anyways). In the case of Jeremiah and Anya, I think they just happened to be together, and I doubt Orange's sudden gone loli-sexual on us. Perhaps they just understand each other?
I don't see anything wrong with HC's point of view. While of course I can't agree with him on everything, I see nothing wrong for somebody who isn't all 'Code Geass Rox my world' to share his ideas. Alot of it makes sense too, both good and bad points. You can enjoy something but be critical of it at the same time, likewise enjoying this show doesn't always mean you have to say good things 24/7. It would be different if his opinions made no sense, but HC's always had a well developed and grounded point of view for every post he's made.

Now everyone, how about something completely different to lighten the mood a little.

I guarantee, that the anime would have been 10 times better.

That's sounRAB hilarious. Come on, you had to know it wasn't going to be serious. Mecha in medieval japan? And what is pizza doing there?
