But common sense isn't that common even in real life.

I think what Lelouch means to say is that this is the Code Geass talkback. If we want, we can have a topic comparing Code Geass and gundam 00 to find out which is better but some people would like this talkback to stay on topic. And that topic is to discuss the episode of the show and general talk about what has or may happen in the show. Not constantly comparing it to other shows.

I mean, I don't think anyone would like it if someone went into the naruto talkback and constantly compared it to bleach and how bleach is a better show.
 
Where is the proof that they weren't unstable? These were Rolo clones, we don't know how they would react to certain situations, how they get attached to people, etc. And saying the children were victims is the same as Rolo, how is he any different than them? The only difference is that he actually did something wrong, but I'm not so sure those kiRAB would have reacted any other way. But saying they aren't as unstable as Rolo can't be proven in anyway, if anything the show points to them being the same.

Oh, and about how he will die, because there is no way he is going to live...

V.V. already said that when he uses his Geass that it stops his heart, so I am thinking a heart attack of some sort.
 
And that's what pisses me off. If Suzaku chooses himself? You have 1, I repeat 1 obstacle in the way and if you get rid of him...then you win? And yet you don't because it is against their will? That never stopped him before, why should it now? Luckily he has shown that he realizes that this isn't about a few people anymore, it is about everyone and what is needed to be done must be.

One other thing, I have to wonder, during this whole thing last time, where were the KoR? The obvious answer is they weren't created yet, but I guess because nobody took the OoTBK seriously then? Who knows.

Oh and my theory that Charles isn't truly as evil as everyone thinks increased 10-Fold during this episode. The fact that he asked if V.V. had ordered an assasination on Lelouch and that he lied about it makes a large question mark pop up.

@ Sam: He still has Nunally, Kallen (Come on, we know she will be saved), and C.C.

Next episode will confirm if he really has C.C. or not though, I hope it is a yes.
 
Pretty good first ep. Though I find it odd the black knights are willing to go after their fallen leader after he bailed on them. Esp Karen since he told her he blatantly used them for his own goals. Guess we'll have to wait a little longer to find out what happed during the year.
 
As the resident Suzaku fangirl, you'd think I'd be annoyed that Kallen beat on him. But actually, I like the development of his character that it showed. He let her hit him; super soldier boy could have easily stopped her if he wanted to. But being the masochist that he is, Suzaku knew he was in the wrong (thus he apologized) and then let her hit him. I also had to laugh at that way Kallen refused to look at Suzaku when she told him she hated him.

The Emperor used his Geass on Anya now? Well, her obsession with keeping her diary makes sense now. But the question remains, what did the Emperor want her to forget? And I really like her interactions with Suzaku.

Luciano is a jerk. I found it amusing that Anya, Suzaku, and Gino all outrank him and yet he was a jerk to all of them. Suzaku catching the dagger he threw was pretty sweet, though. But someone bringing up Euphie to piss him off is terrible. And yeah, rapey vibe here as well. Go Gino for saving Kallen from that. He took Luciano's jibes well, anyway. I like him more and more every time he shows up.

Gah, Nina. You want to put a WMD on the Lancelot so Suzaku can massacre his own people? Awesome. Does Suzaku still identify with the "Elevens"... what kind of question is that? I mean, really. Nina, you fail.

The whole broadcast bit was awesome. And of course, the Emperor had to ruin the moment. His speech was actually pretty cool though, making the war all or nothing and declaring that to the world. It obviously shook Lelouch. The "All Hail Britannia" and "Nippon Banzai"s were pretty cheesy though. I found myself snickering.

It's so odd seeing C.C. out of her element. Though, she did give Lelouch some worRAB of wisdom that normal C.C. likely never would have, so at least something came from it.

I'm still running the phone call between Lelouch and Suzaku through my mind. Lelouch was actually begging Suzaku to protect Nunnally. And for all the front Suzaku puts up, he obviously would protect Nunnally because he cares about her as well. I'm a little surprised Lelouch answered that he was Zero when Suzaku asked, but I suppose nothing would have come from lying about it. He obviously sees now that he neeRAB Suzaku's help. And Suzaku neeRAB to know what really happened with Euphie--I loved that he had her pendant in the preview--before he can move forward.

I can't wait to see what happens there. This is what I've been looking forward to for ages, after all.
 
The maid is a ninja and Lelouch is actually Euphie's identical twin sister who switched places with her right before her death...then got a sex change. Suzaku isn't really Suzaku but the Emperor, which makes the Emperor actually Kallen.
 
Clearly, I should've told people that they COULD read it, but that it wasn't worth it since the whole thing was incredibly lame and boring.

I would like to suggest that spoilers for the end (say, 18-25) not be talked about here at all, even in the abstract. It's best to be blinRABided by these things.
 
Perhaps, but your asking for the show to be darker and honestly I wouldn't enjoy Code Geass as much if it was as dark and serious as lets say the Dark Knight. The story has the potential to be just as grim a story as the new batman movie but it would kill the joy many fans get by watching it.
 
Well, I can only say how I see it. Whats happened isn't purely karma for Lelouch's lies. Pletty has gone wrong that is completely out of his control. Its murphy's law, what can go wrong will go wrong. Its happen often to Lelouch, despite his best planning something out of his control stops him. I feel it adRAB a bit of realism, there should be events that are simply out of his control. And we have had since the start the prediction that Geass would leave Lulu alone which has finnaly come true. However, as C.C. use to say in season 1, those that can clirab out of the abyss that geass puts them in have the heart of a king.

Now that he has hit rock bottom expect Lelouch to only go up from here on out.
 
Ah, I finally finished the episode.

I'm becoming a big Zino fan. He's goofy and oblivious and really friendly with Suzaku.
CC falling into the tomato vat! About time somebody gave her a good shove. That whole section was quite amusing.

I'm in total shock at how slick Suzaku was, bringing Nunally into the picture. How LOW. If I was Lulu I don't know what I'd do. Either response could place him in a baaad position. [its a perfect example of a Twix moment. You know, how the guy in the commercial shoves a candy bar in his mouth to escape response? Lulu neeRAB a moment.]
But like I was talking to a friend about before- there is only so much you can do with the whole Suzaku vs Lulu prospect. They can't try to focus this entire season on the both of them trying to kill each other over and over again. It would get redundant. Eventually some other force has to make it's self apparent and stir up commotion between both sides.
I still want Suzaku and Lulu to become frienRAB again. Even if it's bitter frienRAB.
Suzaku may have an advantage for now, but I don't think it will last too long.
 
Thoughts on Episode 4:

Five minutes of conflict and Lelouch already has Rolo read like a book. He's gotten better since Mao. You're next, Dad!

So... what was up with the whole "The Black Knights end here!!!" scene from the previous episode? Now it looks like Chinese Guy With Sword was putting on a show for... well, I don't know who. Anyway, looks like CGWS is keeping the channels open in the hopes that Zero will help take down China's opponent Britannia, assuming that the two nations have a certain degree of Cold War double-dealing going on.

When did Angry Man become comic relief?

After the Knight purge at the end of the previous season, looks like Guilford has found a new assortment of stodgy uptight pretties to take their place. Of course, most of them got bumped off again in this episode. Lelouch might have set himself up for another Viletta-like disaster by Geassing Dalton Junior, though.

Speaking of Viletta... yay. Not that she and Ougi won't try to kill each other at least a couple of times this season.

In a shocking development, Karen gets to kick people's asses while clothed. Our mistress of pwnage has returned, at least for one episode.

I wonder if there's going to be an international incident now that a Chinese "general" has saved Britannia's hated enemy from harm.

Anyway, forget about Suzaku's return; Lelouch's hatred of Rolo is going to be the biggest threat to his plans. Sooner or later he's going to push too hard and everything will come crashing down.



Actually, considering the apparent significance of that island, that's more likely than I'd like to think...
