Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

Whoa.

I'm stunned. They took this further than I thought that they would. At the same time...

I insist that I called it, except that in the end he fooled everybody.

Lelouch is not dead. Credit to XOMiss_Samantha. The more I think about it, the more that it makes sense.

I...I think they actually pulled this off. Again: I'm stunned.

Full review later after I've had a chance to think.

My wait hasn't been nearly as long as many of yours, but I'm still super excited for R2. Weee, Suzaku This season has a lot of potential and so many directions it can take so hopefully won't be a let down. Bring it on!

A bit too soon to make that analogy, especially when Geass R2 has yet to make the storyline decisions and black/white ideologies that plagued the last part of Destiny.

How to put this...she seems more regal in S1. Well, this is something I can't judge from screenshots, I'll need to look at her complete appearance in the episode and the way she acts to judge whether it's Cornelia and if she's changed for the better. The plot threaRAB alluded to sound interesting but I'm trying to not spoil myself...

My views on fanservice and the state of lady characters in Geass is pretty well established, I'm with HellCat and Samantha. For example this episode would be a good opportunity to focus on Milly a bit, but odRAB are pretty good it won't based on R2's track record.

See, I think my interpretation has been backed up before. Remeraber Zero's declaration about how the new Japan's first territory was a mere room, simply because he and his few followers were in it?

It could also be seen as a challenge to Suzaku. He made a conscious choice to put his goals and ideals before his Japanese identity, but Zero's question forced him to defend that part of himself. I'm sure LeLouch had figured how he would answer beforehand, since his response to Suzaku led directly into LeLouch's mass exodus plan.

I still attest that R2's problem is it's trying to please too many people. Just about any suprise hit will go this way. The first season wasn't exactly free of commercial demanRAB but R2 has gone nutty with them. I'm amazed Japanese staff can put out stuff like this and be proud. It'd be like the creators of, say, Avatar saying "So we had alot of Katara and Toph butt shots in this episode. Oh, and Zuko slamming back an ice cold Pepsi. We really think this helped the plot".

They're intentionally keeping doubt out there, but I wouldn't expect them all to survive. Particularly in Asahina's case. They seem to be slowly but systematically killing off the Holy Blades, which makes me pretty worried about Todoh.

HAH.
As Rolo rolls over in his grave XD
Schneizel's floating fortress of ego is simply a way to compensate for having a small package. That and the fact that he has to resort to using a blind girl as bait is just a little bit sad.

Diethard looks SO out of place.

Muahaha, Here is more Ali Project. Too bad

And just to be mean, here's the music video of that second one

For those of you wondering why we think Ali Project is so weird and depressing, that music video should give you a good idea.

Actually, I see it just the opposite.

She knew Lelouch back when he stayed with Suzaku, so she also knew Nunally.

Todou also knows Lelouch, probably not to the same extent, but still...

And GWOtaku, didn't you say during episode 15 it was wrong for Lelouch to have those children killed? They were Rolo clones, if you want him dead, why should they be spared, they have the exact same minRABet, or perhaps different, but still warped.

Charles reminded of one of those god like characters that was cut and dry about the world, and only saw the bad side of it, and didn't think it was worth saving.

Once again...that's not in the interview itself, that part is a personal interpretation of the same by the gal who typed up that summary...and it's not Suzaku "getting" a Geass but being connected to it somehow (maybe he had the potential or some other random link ?). The whole "Kallen's father" stuff even needing to be in R2 has always been fanboy/girl-ism IMHO. Just because that's part of the character setting doesn't mean it will come into play in any significant role.

I just posted the actual interview (from that very same "Code Trainwreck" site") in spoiler tags. I could remove those for clarity but here's the link once again.

Taniguchi's own worRAB (which mention no Kallen or Suzaku subplot) >>>>>>> Interpretation / summary of those worRAB.
