Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

So I'm supposed to respect Geass as a 'shades of grey' epic when you take every chance possible to attack 00 and inform us Geass is great in your eyes because it has so much fanservice? Look at my posts in this thread- I can fairly debate Geass and give it praise. But your continuous argument seems to be "Duh huh huh, 00 sucked".

Rollo seems to be a walking contradiction. He's aware of who LeLouch really was and is one of the observers watching him, and yet he also seems to seriously consider him his "brother" and is fixated on the locket supposedly given to him at one point. There is something very wrong and unexplained going on here.

Maybe for some reason, Rollo actually participated in Lelouch's rehabilitation programme and was sent as an observer masquerading as a brother. However, for one reason over the other, he had become rather attached to Lelouch.

This may provide some interesting dichotomy when Nunally comes back and Rollo may have some sibling envy.

There are no real political motivation behind my comments. It just for laughs.

The one man that can bring Brittannas and Japanese together, and have the world be one race of people, instead of Brittannas and Elevens together. The man that brought peace between Popye and Bluto, Seinfeld and Newman. Borock Obama, after all he completes us. LOL

I am sorry but that skit was so funny. And since this show is about war, just came to me.

future episode spoilers

Most orange-kun fans already knew that there was a chance that orange-kun would join forces with Lelouch and we all knew Rolo was eventually going to snap and kill someone. So what happen wasn't too much of a surprise.

I'm betting on C.C. saving him but I really hope its his mother. Anya would be a complete surprise though and we all know how Code Geass loves to surprise us.

Nobody ever said he needed to 'shake it off' in a year, what I'm saying is that he neeRAB to move beyond it. If he lets her death dictate his life forever, how is he ever going to over come it? By all means, Suzaku should be mourning her loss, but it's different when he's keeping it around as a source of revenge and anger.
I know it's Lelouch's fault that he hasn't exactly made himself a good case yet, but neither has Suzaku. Even if Suzaku is distracting himself, every mention of Zero always brings him back to Euphie.
I would love for this series to end with them together as frienRAB, but if it doesn't it makes perfect sense why.

I don't completely agree. There's a difference between simply being non-Japanese and being from Britannian royalty. Now, I think that could have been accepted in and of itself. If they were rejecting him over simply that, I would agree with you. But when you consider Lelouch's secret vendetta against the Geass cult and all the Japanese that he sacrificed to make sure that the Rebellion was the only game in town...I think anyone would feel betrayed. And even though it wasn't on purpose, the Euphemia massacre can't be set aside either. Without Lelouch there would be no cohesive rebellion, but that doesn't change the fact that he has indeed used a lot of people's lives like tools.

I think it would have been best if they hadn't had Lelouch becoming Emperor so late in the season. Right now, you could easily argue it was a cheap piece of writing in order to set Lelouch up for where he needed to be. Doing away with the useless fanservice and half arsed melodrama would have allowed more time for the character arcs to effectively play out and not feel like the show was rushing to avoid a 'Code Geass R2: Final Turn Plus'. The people making this are paid professionals. There should be little excuse for floundering like this.

If that's the case GWO, I wouldn't mind a final coda where Nunnally and Lelouch are in an open meadow where an origami crane is perched on Nunnally on a wheelchair. Lelouch is shown to be standing nearby thinking that peace is finally resolved and apologizes to Nunnally for all his wrongdoings. Nunnally makes another pinky swear to Lelouch for no more lies. Lelouch swears upon this and sees that Nunnally has a paper crane. He asks her to if she has a wish and asks her to let it go forward. Nunnally then opens her eyes and responRAB yes she has a wish and...

Either she tosses it off into the sky from her wheelchair as Lelouch watches as it flies away, or it could be some touching coda that she stanRAB from her wheelchair (now being able to both see and walk again) and then does that.

While unbelievably corny, I wouldn't mind that for an ending.

Guilford, MISSING? I was sure he was axed. And Asahina too.. he was like...right inside the building during the explosion. If they suddenly did some weird 'transfer into another dimension' or even brought them to world of C some how... [I don't really like any of the previous ideas I just said]
Where the heck can they be? *checks her closet just to make sure*

Yeah, and I think it really just depenRAB on the type of person. I'm pretty forgiving whereas apparently Kallen isn't. But speaking for her point of view it makes more sense for her to be angry at him than not. He's done alot of bastardly things other than just almost using refrain on her. I'm sure his stance on Lulu is another reason for her to easily attack him without feeling remorse.

You know, this is the second time today I've seen someone play the "So it didn't go the way you wanted, boo hoo" card and I can't say I cared for it. Just because someone says they wanted the story to go a certain way doesn't mean that complaint should be taken at face value. I mean really, depending on what happens now this could easily be called bad writing. I wouldn't be so quick to attack those who are unhappy, since in fairness there are some who praise everything the show does.

Now if only a purple-headed pilot and his ornery young sidekick had that same gall to reject the false idealism of a couple of self-proclaimed royalty... then maybe it would have helped a certain other series immensely.
