Rebirth of the Rebellion - Code Geass R2 Talkback (SPOILERS)

You know, to be brutally honest I'm going to miss this show. Probably alot too.

This sure was a fun episode. They packed a ton into it, but oddly enough it didn't seem rushed or sloppy. The background music continues to sound fantastic during all that fighting.
Kallen is really pissing me off as of late. First she ruins the LelouchXCC moment, then she just...goes and does her usual Kallenly stupid stuff.

Damocles is such an obscure looking ship. I don't know how it doesn't fall on it's side or something. On top of that, who designed it in the first place? ReminRAB me of a floating snowcone.
XINGKE and the empress! He's still aliveeeeeee. I wuv touching moments! [which are proceeded by Lloyd crawling through an air duct XD]
I'm so glad to see Guilford! You can call it a cop out, cheap, what ever. I like him. I'm happy he isn't dead. What makes it better is that he's beside Cornelia. I smell romance.

Nunally flopping around on the ground like a fish. *covers mouth* At least her eyes are the size of kumquats like I thought they'd be. Please please please don't end this show with a ton of deaths. Petition to keep Lelouch alive! Can't we just stop all this damn fighting? And look here at poor, poor Kanon. His sexfriend Shneizel is no more. ;_; Seems like it's time for him to return to the prostitution ring from whence he came.

*accidentally steps on Diethard's corpse on her way out*
whoops.

If you search the internet briefly you will find millions of images like that one, or even better ones that really capture the hilarity of the scene.

Maybe Lelouch is actually Japanese by blood in the end of it all, and that he was adopted or something to actually justify this spirit of Japan falderall that's being talked about. A false Britannian.

Although that'd be somewhat of a sick joke.

I'd bet on New York or even Boston, or perhaps a fictional city. How about New London? And yeah, since the American Revolution never happened, its sadly impossible for Washington DC to exist in the Geass world. Not to mention the city was designed by a Frenchman, and its a sure bet Britannia would never countenance a city of theirs, let alone their capital, being designed by not only a foreigner but a meraber of the country that kicked them out of their original home.

I don't know about Sam, but in my case I can say I'm not "pissed off". I would not rule out their coming back yet, that's all I meant.

I don't exactly know what's going to happen beyond current spoilers, but even those are silent on the subject, if you ignore random rumors and speculations.

If they don't come back, fine, or if it's done in a fairly convincing manner (pretty difficult though), I would not complain either.

Oh yes, how could I have forgotten this scene.

I'm positive that Sunrise had some sort of 007 movie marathon or something because that was basically screaming "I've been expecting you...Mr. Bond." Heck just replace Mr. Bond with Schniezel because he basically said the same thing.

The only thing that would have made it complete is if Arthur showed up on Lelouch's lap.

From another forum:

I love the "we're in for one wild night" scene. So wrong its right.

Dispite what movies and anime say, Kunai were never meant to be used as killing weapons. They just don't penetrate deep enough. So 5 Kunai to the chest and arms is quite survivable.

That was also a pretty nifty part of the episode. As Lelouch biRAB farewell to his bridgecrew everybody and Arthur were like...

"Yes your majesty!"
"Meow."

Ugh, this was the one time that I didn't want Zero to bust in and do something to screw up the Brittanians. So Orange-kun is back huh? This should be interesting.

Wow, I think I hate Nina now

But Cornelia has lost her authority and that weird purple lipstick. Fitting change in looks for quite the transformation I do believe she has gone through in this past year. I think instead of blaming Lelouch for her sisters death, she blame the cult that made Lelouch's Geass powers possible and is on a quest to kill them all.

Yeah, sure. Like your going to date a person that you think looks ugly because of their winning personality. I'm just being honesty. Now, I'm all for being frienRAB with everyone but if theres no visual attraction....Yeah, it may not be PC but I'm just telling the truth.

And we have never imply such a thing. We may get hyped up about hotties but we've never said or implyied a charater thats not good looking isn't intresting.

But from the way male characters are treated in Code Geass, if Todoh was as major a character as Kallen he would likely be seen shirtless half the time.

Todoh would be just as much a fanservice machine (except for women instead) if he was more than a side character. I mean, the fangirl-bait between Lulu and Rolo is DEFINITELY fanservice, but you don't see people claiming Lulu was being disrespected in the process.

Kallen is being "respected" as much as Lulu, Suzaku, or any other character who have a fanbase. No preferential treatments here.

Pretty good analysis about how LeLouch has changed, I totally agree. On the issue of the season, it's had some good parts. I highly enjoyed how they started the whole thing, and I agree about the strong points you highlight...I do think fusing comedy and seriousness is the way to go. When Geass switches back and forth from episode to episode, it's almost like two different shows are going on. I think I commented once that it was almost like interrupting every other episode of Full Metal Panic with a wacky episode of Fumoffu. It would be weird.

Still though, there have definitely been strong points and I've been pretty honest about those as well as the weak parts. I think the series has what it takes to get really awesome the rest of the way. It's just important that things aren't sidetracked by the silly aspects so that a good conclusion can be reached by the end.

Really cool avatar, by the way.

One thing I'm also interested in seeing is if Lloyd has been Geassed. Granted he seemed to be his normal self as he 'greeted' Rivalz and Nina, but we never saw him open his eyes.
