Really, really simple

join the club.

hey, you could be worse off, you could be flipping burgers for a living, and what kind of stupid loser has a job like tha.....ermm.... yeah, being broke sucks

when you're in school, you're dependent on others and you take whatever job you can get.

but don't let them tell you it ever gets better. just less time-consuming. and then you're more tired and still broke because while you're making more money you're also paying more of your own bills.

yeah.... but it's sad that i've memorized all of the chicken nugget sauces we offer, and the prices of almost everything on the menu at Wendy's.
i'm just glad to be out of high school. seeing pretty much everyone else in my class driving a brand new car to school dressed in the latest clothes was really a downer. especially considering that MOST of them never worked a day in their lives.
hehe, it'll suck to be them once the real world comes along and knocks them off their high horse then kicks them in the stomach a few times. only wish i could be there to see it. oh well, i've gone off on a tangent so i'll shut up now.

yeah. I'm fricking looking for another job and I'm only 17. I shouldn't have to work 2 or 3 fricking jobs. I don't have anything to pay for, yet I never have enough money. :(

i'm 17 too. if there's anything that life has taught me, is that if you're seventeen and looking for a job, or a new job, you're shit outta luck. i've tried looking for a new job every place i can think of within probably a 10 mile radius of where i live. nobody wants you unless you're 18. this REALLY sucks.

Wendy's has got to be at the top, or very near the top, of the list of the shittiest jobs of all time. As if the job itself wasn't bad, our managers have started issuing us, get this, miniature English-Spanish dictionaries so we can communicate with our Mexican co-workers. I've seen a great deal of the people that were there when I started there be replaced by Mexicans. I'd say 85% of the workers there don't speak a word of English.

CURSE YOU DAVE THOMAS, CURSE YOU!!!!!!!

They should have to speak english to work in an english speaking country.

The good thing about sticking it out at a shitty job is that it builds character and a resume. Your next employer will go "wow you worked 1 yr at a place most people only stay 2 weeks"

well, to be really frank, we don't have a declared national language here. thus, the most of us who happen to speak english are really frustrated when our markedly american monolinguism makes it more and more difficult to speak with our compatriots.

really.

if we had a declared national language, i could take a different stance; until we do, i have to accept that there will be non-english-speaking americans and that the fact that i only speak languages is MY handicap, not other people's.

now, on a side note, wendy's might not be a fun job, but imagine being the guy who gets paid to give invalids sponge baths. or if that doesn't suck enough, imagine being the guy whose job it is to professionally clean blood/bile/body parts out of anyone's private property (cars, rooms, etc) for "California Emergency Services, Inc."

and imagine getting yelled at by your boss by not doing it well enough or quickly enough when you want to puke just being in the same room as it, much less being on your hands and knees wiping it up.

*shudder*

regardless, look for a better job ;]

it seems when I get paid, I lose the money to stupid things that happen outta nowhere and then I'm broke again

my last check was spent on...
new side windows...some fucker broke into my truck
new tires....tread got way too low...kept sliding
new emergency brake cable...mine just snapping when releasing it (neone know how to fix that? or where to find replacement)
cleaning tools to fix my laptop...hehe, lemonade incident
gas...prices too high, but going down

it may not be much but when ur saving money up for a trip and that total excluding other things comes out to about $370...and now I have about $20 left in my account until a week passes and I get my next check I'm screwed

if shit like this didn't happen all at once or not at all things would be a bit easier :D

Go work at Dierberg's they're not bad. Hell, I work there, it isn't that bad of pay and they actually give a rat's ass about their workers. They will schedule you around whatever you have going on.
