I get the point, but I took up the Unlimited card on the basis of not buying overpriced refreshments. The "no food & drink" signs appeared well after that. Yes, it's good value, but I'd like the cinema to respect my rights to privacy (which, to be fair, they always have in my case).
A restaurant is different - it exists to provide food & drink. If you bring your own, you're not only not being a customer yourself, but you're occupying a space that could be taken by someone who is.
