"Rave Master" on Ani-Monday Talkback (Spoilers!)

Two questions. Does this seem edited even more than the CN run did (not that this is a bad thing - weird random it might help actually )? Second, the video quality seems a lot different to me. Was the CN run actually shown with brighter colors?

Last but not least, that OP makes me pine for the One Piece rap OP At least the OP Rap OP was catchy and half decent. The Rave Master one sound like someone ate too much No Doze

I thought that these were interesting episodes. I couldn't quite understand why Ellie was crying so much for having her first kiss being taken from her, but that's me. At least we got more emotion out of Haru. I also questioned why she didn't just shoot the guy trying to kill her when she had the chance instead of making a frienRABhip speech.

Let actually being a human was a nice twist. Though, I honestly thought that he looked cooler as a dragon. His human form looks like some recycled character from DBZ. While his whole thing with Julia was kind of sad, especially how they both thought that they were dead for so long, it really felt rushed and it got annoying how Let kept on saying Julia. Plus, I don't think she had even one line of dialogue, other than a scream when she transformed into a full dragon.

Jegan was also seriously creepy here. So, because Julia was with Let, he killed their entire village, made Let think Julia was dead, tricked Julia into being with him and now has her as his loyal, mindless dragon? Yeah, that's taking the whole jealousy thing way too far. The last part where he's hugging Julia, still in love with her, knowing that she can't return that love was really disturbing. I was hoping Let would win, especially after going through the pain of releasing the dragon within him, and the way he apparently lost felt kind of weak. Though, the way SyFy kept on placing the commercial breaks didn't help either.

I actually laughed at how annoying and weird the little animal mascots were in this episode. Griff is a pain, but him acting tough and then being easily defeated was pretty funny. Ellie is pretty much the only one in that group able to fight. Yeah, they're in trouble.

Musica vs. Reina was pretty cool too, especially since they both are after the same goal.

Overall, pretty interesting episodes and hopefully the next batch of episodes will be nice to watch as well.

This episode has officially gotten ten times better.

Yeesh, will you two hook up already! That whole Out Of Time arc should've indicated they're in love.

I've seen the whole run it had on CN before..so no big deal, I just wanted to see it again if it had a new dub, but since it doesnt...meh.

Sci-fi only required the first 12 episodes of rave master anyhow, so once its run is over, it will be put back into a storage warehouse and never be seen again.

Im still pondering why they would aquire such a niche title like rave master, why not just re-run something else..its so weird..

"We're going to defeat King. You and I will do it together."
But first, clean that ink off your face. You look like you're wearing makeup, and it's running.

And Griff's role in this show is brought into question once more.

"How did you survive?"
"That's not important now."
Translation: I don't know myself. I was just suddenly written back in the show for some reason.

And Muzica's ranking on my characters list just went up thanks to the beat down he gave on the Big Butt Bandits.

And I never thought I said this but so does Elie.

It's not.

Dang really. Surprise to me.

You just keep tellin yourselve general.

I never thought I would say this, but I'm glad Sci-Fi keeps doing these commercial breaks.

"Is it possible that King is no longer human?"
I don't know, old man, you tell me.

Do you understand the concept of getting him and yourself to safety?

HA HA HA HE MISSPELLED THE SIGN.

Didn't...we...cover all this last week?
