Rate films as you see them...

Unleashed - 5/10 Disapointing really, nothing worse than watching Bob Hoskin's try to mount a whore

Stealth - 6/10 I liked it, but I can see why the critics ripped into it.

Layer Cake - 6.5/10 Bit confusing at times (probably because I kept getting distracted) but an alright film overall. Not a patch on Snatch though - hey that rhymes lol

Green Street 7/10 - Ignore the critics this is a good film

The Man 3/10 - A mercifully short and painfully unfunny film.

Red Eye 5/10 - Decent thriller, let down by a weak ending.

The 40 Year Old Virgin 8/10 - Terrifcally funny and surprisingly sweet natured film.

Saw II - 9 and a smidge/10 ( :D )

In my opinion, only slightly less thrilling as its predecessor (this may be due to the originality of the first and therefore the subsequent knowing what to expect in the sequel). The story holRAB its own yet has a few tasty ideas snatched from the first film. Donnie Wahlberg proves he's not just a one-trick pony by turning in a role that even his brother Mark would be jealous of.

It scares and thrills right from its shocking opening sequence to its jaw-dropping conclusion with one of the best twists I've seen in a film in a very long time.

Ocean's Twelve - 5/10 - A mess compared to the first one, be warned... expect another "dance around the security beams" but this time with a male figure in tight clothing. Darn, I wanted to Zeta Jones do it again, it was the one redeeming feature of Entrapment.

Hellboy - 5/10 - Getting bored with these comic book movies. This one was nothing but average.

Sahara - 2/10 - The less said about this the better. It almost makes National Treasure look good.

The Aviator - 9/10 - Compelling from start to finish, I love films that draw you in and capture your attention the whole time.

I'd give it 5, it just enRAB...and the way they can drive everywhere despite the destruction is.......quite funny!

Bladerunner: The Criterion Edition - 9.5/10 - Bladerunner is probably my favourite film of all time, but until recently I'd only really seen the Director's Cut (and I've watched that a few times I can tell you). I've seen the Theatrical Cut once on TV and I actually liked the 'happy ending'. This is like a different movie - there's only a few extra seconRAB here and there in different scenes, it has the happy ending, the voice-over (which I actually am finding I like too) and of course Tyrell is more satisfyingly killed by Batty. I only wish the deleted scene with Holden and Deckard in the hospital had been included too. The film is still begging for a remake that is closer to the PKD novel, but it would take someone exceptional to replace Rutger Hauer as Batty, Harrison Ford as Deckard and Sean Young as Rachel, they just ARE the characters now. Anyone else in the roles would be strange - but it could be done!!!

Green Street 8/10 - if you can ignore the dodgy accent from Hunnam this is a decent film that gives a shocking insight into football hooliganism.

my memory isn't that good but i recall seeing a preview of
blade runner in glasgow. it was shown there before the
rest of the country. there was an amazing moment where
we see sean young for the first time. imo it was one of the
most spectacular entrances in cinema history. all she did
was walk up to decker and her 'creator'. it was a very
long walk, the sound of her stilleto echoing around the room
it was done in one shot a bit like omar shariff's spectacular
'entrance' in lawrence of arabia...

that 'walk' was shortened for the video and tv screening

is it in the directors cut? i would buy it if it was

The Agitator - 5/10 - Found this film to be quite boring, don't usual get that with a Miike film, but this film was a bit drawn out, still had some good scenes in it though.
