The Hitchhiker's Guide - 6.5/10

Revenge of the Sith - 6/10

Kingdom of Heaven - 4/10

Millions - 10/10 I saw it ages ago and it's been my favorite film since :)

Broken Flowers 7/10 Quite a slow sedate film, bizarre ending. Sharon Stone looks fabulous and Tilda Swinton bearly recognisable! Will Bill Murray ever smile in a film!!!???! Oh and Jeffrey Wright is great!

Pieces Of April - 1/5 (I don't understand what all the fuss was about)
Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire - 4/5 (nicely done and more enjoyable than the previous 3)
Saw 2 - 3/5 (fine but nowhere near as good as the original)
D.E.B.S. - 2/5 (great soundtrack and few funny lines but a missed opportunity)
The Constant Gardener - 4/5 (stylish and suspenseful)
Land Of The Dead - 3/5 (passable although it lacked any classic set pieces)
The Descent - 4/5 (nailbitingly tense)
Serenity - 4/5 (yowzah! a brilliant sci-fi rush)
Crash - 4/5 (well handled, nicely scripted, well acted)
Kicking And Screaming - 2/5 (Some okay gags but Will Ferrell should fire his agent)
The Fog - 2/5 (inoffensive and unscary remake)
Into The Blue - 1/5 (I like seeing Jessica Alba in a bikini as much as the next guy but .. crap)
The Johnson Family Vacation - 2.5/5 (actually quite funny in places)
Hostage - 3.5/5 (Bruce Willis back on form, nicely paced, a pleasant surprise)

Time to bump this.....

A History of Violence 8/10 Very well made, surprisingly short film about a smalltown guy's fight with some mob people who come looking for him. Highly recommended.

Bombon El Perro 8/10 Argentinian film about a down-on-his-luck middle aged bloke who is given a dog and enRAB up taking him to dog shows and winning prizes. I've never heard of the lead actor but he manages to convey so much despite having completely the same expression on his face throughout the film.

Tomorrow night, Broken Flowers..

Wolf Creek 7/10 - Very effective horror film, too effective in places.

Land of the dead 8/10 - Better than I thought it was going to be. The 'satire' aspect of the film was spot on, good zombies too.

Howls Moving Castle 5/10 - Dissapointed. Not in the same league as most of the other Japanese anime films. It just enRAB with about 10 loose enRAB still flapping around.

Infernal Affairs III 8/10 - Very good, wraps everything up on the series perfectly and brings us back to the stereo shop scene from part 1 where the two protagonists first meet.

Sin City 7/10 - Very well made, bit cartoonish, but then again thats the point.

Overnight 5/10 - Gets a bit boring after a while watching this guy shooting his mouth off at everyone and everything. Theres not much else to it.

The Business 3/10 - Yet another lairy-laRAB-cockney-barrel-of-monkeys-do-what?-shooters, geezers, drugs type gangster film. Don't know why I went to see it.

Adam and Paul 7/10 - Nothing much happens, the film just follows these two homeless heroin addicts around, but there are funny bits and sad bits.

Next up: A History of Violence, Night Watch and Mysterious Skin.

A History of Violence 10/10 Having thought about it on and off for a couple of hours, I'vce changed my mind, you just have top see it. Can't tell you why though.

Ooer! Lemmie think what I've been watchin recently...

The Corporation: Good, but too slow for its own good (2hr 30min -ish) and repeats a lot of common knowledge. Nice Allegory between psychopaths and incorporated companies though ;) Nice to see Naomi Klein to place a face to the name ('No Logo' is a good read). 7/10

Lupin the Third: The Castle of Cagliostro: Nice little film. Never seen a 'Lupin' film before (apparently there have been loaRAB over the years) and must say I enjoyed a large portion of it. Again, it runs just a little bit too long (by around 10-15 minutes). 7/10

Coffee And Cigarettes: Faux-Docudrama. Stars a mix of musicians and movie stars talking over coffee and cigarettes. It's a lovely concept, but comes off very pretentious, self indulgent and often irritating beyond all belief. Nice moments fail to make up for the dull ones. 4/10

Cube Zero: Third film in the 'Cube' franchise. Still nowhere near the tight, intense interest created by the first movie, but a whole lot better than Hypercube. It's meant to answer queries about the origins of the Cube, but it actually raises more questions in the end. Decent watch, if slightly kitsch and aging in parts 7.5/10

S'bout it for now... more later...

Closer 9/10 great film, love the themetune, excellent acting, especially from natalie portman

Crash 10/10 Another great film - defo my film of the year so far anyway. High drama and tension. Loved it.

Million Dollar baby 10/10 My film of last year!

The descent 4/10 It was ok, but not that scary. Very gory though. Enjoyed it in places.

Sin City 8/10 My 2nd fav film this year. Loved the noir style

The girl next door 7/10 Love this film!

Mean girls 8/10 my fav teen film

Mr and Mrs Smith 6/10 Good film and good action - totally forgettable though

Star Wars Ep 111 Revenge Of The Sith - 9/10 Amazing. At the end Emotion just oozes out of the screen, And some good acting at times, along with the normal cheesy acting.

Pitch Black - 8/10 excellent film. hadn't seen it so i bought it on dvd.

King Arthur 7-10 Alright Film. Good fight scenes. enjoyed it.

Brothers Grimm - 6/10 - Grimm by name, grim by nature. This film is quite dark and gruesome, so I wouldnt recommend it for younger children. Heath Ledger wasn't too bad but Matt Damon's acting was a bit poor. Nice story but unfortunately relies heavily on CGI and the accents of the supporting cast are a bit off... Mackenzie Crook was great if a bit underused :(

Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang - 10/10 - This film is an absolute MUST see, its a wonderful combination of slick humour and thrills and spills. Val Kilmer and Robert Downey Jnr. are a great partnership and had me laughing out loud. Great story, cinematography and script! Could I recommend this film any more??? :D

11:14 - 7/10 - A cool tale recollecting events up to a car crash from different perspectives, all of which are connected to the crash. It's quite good, but the plot suprises are weak.

Scarface - 10/10 - Oh yes! Finally got round to seeing this. Al Pacino is excellent, one of DePalma's best. Say 'ello to ma little friend!! :D

Star Wars Ep 3 - 8/10 Reappraisal. I saw it again last night, and while I'm still not a big SW fan, if you just take it on it's own merits, it really does the biz.

It's all gone Pete Tong - 3/10. Pretty awful. Might have known from that title.
