i don't really have an argument against the hardcore libertarian philosophy at this time, but i don't buy the argument that the greatest minority right that needs protection is the individual. it opens the door far too wide for abuse and one needs not to look far to see that the rights of somebody like bill gates trample say, the individual Somalian citizen or even a poor american. the more property one has, the more rights as an individual one seems to have, and that seems to be an extension of a long tradition of indoctrination of such individualism in a 'free society.'
one doesn't question property rights if property or obtaining property isn't an issue to them, and one doesn't question property rights if such things are a problem because, well, you're probably too hungry to think or too distracted by others' property to be free from the allure.
