Quick way to learn how to use a tampon?

I have to learn to use a tampon within the next two weeks because I will have an Jr lifeguard course and will be on my period. So I will have to learn how to use an tampon. Quick ways to learn. Also any brands you would suggest for a first timer for using tampons. I've had my period for a little over a year now and I'm 14 years old.
