questions about a kicker subwoofer?

so when i have the speaker sitting on the magnet on the back it seems like the speaker is pushed in. like where the subwoofer moves up and down (excursion) its like pushed in and stays there like its been sitting on the magnet for years and it just slowly settled like that. i know im prob just over reacting or getting to into it but is that bad?
 
The only real way to check it's condition would be to jump on google and find a picture of a new one.

From that you could compare them?

If it has done what you say it's done, then it's probably time for a new sub-woofer..
