Chili Con Carne
Brown 1 lb of ground beef in oil & drain excess fat.
Add a chopped onion, & crushed clove of garlic.
Simmer for 15 minutes or transfer to slow-cooker.
Add 1 sm can tomato paste, & 1 can of stewed tomatoes;
or 1 lg can of regular tomato sauce.
Add a couple of tbsp of chili powder, to taste,
or 1 tbsp oregano, 4 tsp cumin, 1 tbsp paprika.
Add hot sauce or chili peppers to your taste.
Simmer for another 15 minutes if using fry-pan.
Add 1 can of pinto or red kidney beans.
Allow total cook time of at least 3 hours in crock-pot.
