Hey y'all. I have some Green colored 10" neon tubes that I want to install in my 93' Mazda Protege. I only have 2 of them for now. I took them out of the old car I drove for about a year and a half..maybe longer, and I am looking to install them in my Mazda. But, I have a conflict. I looked and studied under the dash (on both the passenger and driver sides) to see if I could mount the neons under there. I don't want the light bars themselves to be seen, just the basic glow they give off. Upon further investigateing...it would be hell to make that work. SO...I switched to "plan B". That plan is to install them between the front seat's, front tiedowns, where the seats bolt down to the car's frame. This seems to luminate the front floor board and the back floorboard as well. The carpeting is black, which isn't cool, seeing as how black asorbs light. They were bright a hell in the old car becuase the carpeting was a light grey color. But anyway...here is the main question.
Would y'all go through the trouble of makeing them work underneith the dash go the simple way an mount them between the passenger and driver seat's front mounts where they are mounted to the car's frame? Also, take into consideration that lights, when placed under the seat, luminates the rear floorboards a little bit...sorta killing two birds with one stone.
If you were in my situation, what would you do?
