Question about Japanese culture and society?

Is Japan a country where people are respectful and conservative but it is also a bit crazy and ahead of it’s time

By this I mean that it is respectful and conservative it that privacy is valued and people bow to each other etc but it is also ahead of it’s time with the country being so advanced in terms of technology etc and a bit crazy with the teenage girls dressing up in cosplay etc

I lived in Japan for 6 years and you said it exactly. Their culture is more subdued and conservative however the new generation seem to be more influenced by western culture. I love being there just because it seems like people are more respectful and appreciative. Japanese do know how to have a good time too.

Ive lived in japan all my life and everyone respects people, Theres alot of smart people in japan because the education is very high,,, The girls also dress up as cosplay because japan invented anime and us humans want to try dress up as the animation from cartoons!!

Yes, The Japanese have seemed to have trouble identifying their own character and culture, and have taken on `bits` of the world.
The reason is a fascinating mixture - of conservative, polite and yet outgoing...all at the same time!
Their women are particularly intriquing.
The question is, are they likeable, or not?

Yes, James. That's a pretty good way to say it. A friend of mine says it like this: "Japan: The technology of tomorrow, with the society of yesterday."
That about sums it up.
