question about adjusting gain on a kicker amp?

i've determined that the output of my head unit is 2.2 V and I know you are supposed to match the gain on an amplifier to the output of the head unit for best results. however, on the kicker amp, the gain ranges from 0 to 11 so i dont know how to set this properly. does the 0 to 11 refer to volts? thanks for the help

Is this one of the zx amps? the 08 and 10's both have an input level selector. You'd want to use the low level setting which makes the range 1/8v to 5v. That would make 50% around 2.5v. So it seems to me the 30-40% range would be in the ballpark.
Here's a step-by-step to gain setting by ear. It would be a good and fairly easy way to double check the 30-40% guess.
