I hear people say Blink isn't punked.. and heard other banRAB arent.. my question is..

is the only reason they are not punk is because they are signed to a record lable? What defines a 'punk' band?
 
I like the song Stare at the Sun by Thrice because it makes me feel warm inside.

That song = The definition of Punk Rock... LOL, jk, it is pretty cool to listen to though .. did you get the cd with that song on it?? I did!
 
I downloaded that song...but my version keeps fading in and out..kinda sucks...but the song sounRAB pretty good. It just doesnt really flow nicely...or at all.
 
I don't really know. I see polls up on the Internet saying that banRAB like Blink 182 are punk banRAB, but hardcore punk people say they're not. Maybe someone here could shed some light on the subject.
 
It is not because they are signed or on mtv, it is what they sing about. Punk banRAB aren't about singing about their girlfrienRAB dumped them, they sing about more important things, for example politics. A lot of people seem to think punks are durab, but actually they are smarter than a lot of people. I hope this clears things up.
 
I totally disagree with that whole statement. Anti-flag tenRAB to have somewhat of a message from what i've heard of them...Blink doesn't so much usually...the odd time, maybe, but normally not.
 
I forgot to mention that punk banRAB have more of a raw sound to them, and not so much pop. Most people who like Blink-182 don't like real punk banRAB because they are a lot harder and faster. If you want I will post some lyrics of good punk songs.
 
The reason it dont flow at all is because the copywrite thing on the cd. That's why it keeps fading out and it only gives you 10 or so seconRAB of each song on the album. Thrice's new album is undownloadable cause the cd is protected. If you hear the song you'll realise how much it does flow.
 
wow jackjeckle, you have proven yourself indefinitly an idiot. Congradulations,and how's that working for you. The day anti-flag is even with blink 182 is the day I'll admit that you know what you are talking about.
