Qi

My thoughts exactly.. His feeble stream of consciousness rant wasn't funny and wasn't suitable for the show. I'm amazed so much of it made the edit. Makes me wonder what didn't. Like the above quote, I couldn't bear to watch the XL this week.

QI makers, are you reading this thread?

Judging on the "standard length" edition of QI I've seen, she wasn't all that good (normally she's much better than this). Sometimes it's how the show is edited that's the cause of this sort of thing, which can be confirmed by watching the extended version by way of comparison. (This can also occasionally happen on Have I Got News For You and other similar prerecorded shows.)

yeah, last nights was the best in ages. 'the difference between the mitchell brothers and charlemagne is that one was fictional. it would be quite disturbing to learn you're related to a fictional character. sort of make you doubt your own existence;' :D

I'm watching the 'hilarity' of the great Train Robbery and find it insulting that they forgot that these criminals actually committed an assault on the train driver Jack Mills who was never able to work again. Suddenly gone off this otherwise great programme.

I didn't think Lee Mack was too bad. It seemed as though he was getting talked over by the regulars so rasied his voice a little and then joined with Bailey and Davies with the sillyness - for good or bad.

I was dissapointed not to get QI XL on iPlayer. I missed it on Thursday and after checking the listings I decided to wait untill last night to watch XL. At the last minute I changed my mind and decided to watch it later on iPlayer only to find that it was the regular edititon.

I thought it was the best episode of this series by far. I was crying with laughter. That was the perfect panel. I loved the little rivalry between Rob and Johnny, and David Mitchell is always great on QI. Well done. And am I right, there wasn't one Klaxon?

I checked it out, it is a huge disappointment atm if you are expecting to see rotting bodies etc.
They have only one body on show, and as yet it has not even begun to decompose, so there is no need for any squirming or whatever.
I think the 'best' days are behind the site due to legal and practical implications.

i swear i could actually see in david tennants eyes that his brain was screamin "they're gettin more attention than you say something quickly"

Hopefully that should see the end of Johnny Vegas on QI. I thought he was embarrasing and seemed to have a negative effect on the input the other panellistas gave. I would prefer to see more of the likes of John Sessions, Clive Anderson, Sandi Toksvig, Sue Perkins to be honest who are more inclined to be interesting and funny rather than bewildered and out of their depth.

Oh The Rapture thing last night. If you see all that stuff as anything other than a joke to be ridiculed, pointed at and laughed at. (Anyone who takes even the most mild of mild drop of seriousness about it) is someone totally without humour who thenselves neeRAB to be riduculed.

I think Lee Mack realised that early on and did just that even if to some it made him come across not so well.

It was similar to what sometimes happens on Mock The Week which is strange as you would have thought with the style of QI it is far more relaxed and conversational rather than competetive.
