A potentially great episode ruined by Vegas. Any episode with David Mitchell on has comedy gold written all over it but this wasn't to be thanks to Vegas.

Hopefully he won't be invited back.

Some other things they could have mentioned about the album cover: the VW has the registration LMW281F; Linda McCartney Weeps, 28 was Paul's age. The police car on the right hand side signifies the police cover up of his death by a road accident, incidentally, the Australian cover shows a distinct blood stain on the road. The onlookers on the distant left hand sign are dressed in white, signifying angels. Paul has a cigarette "coffin nail" in his right hand, but he is left handed. If you look really closely at the back cover of the album you can find a crude image of the Grim Reaper.

Re the Help album - All but Paul are wearing button tops, Paul wears a zip top signifying his body bag.

All complete c*ap of course. :D

I knew all that stuff about the train robbers already from my own web readings on the subject and that I've seen the movie Buster as well. I was waiting for it to be mentioned and them all bragging how their too ''cool'' to have watched something with Phil Collins in, Maybe that bit will be in the XL edition tonight

I hate it when Johnny Vegas or Vic Reeves are on the show. They just say stupid things, thinking that it's funny, and it's not.
Johnny Vegas just shouts all the time.

QI is as good as ever nd will remain so, particularly if it restricts appearances from Jupitus (and gags hin when he's on) and never gets Johnny Vegas again.

In fact, if you will indulge me, if QI even came near to Jumping the Shark it would immediately explain to the shark that it is actually not a shark and claim the points.

I agree entirely. Johnny Vegas can be amusing in small doses, but in tonights QI he was allowed too much leeway. With a dull panel there might have been some excuse, but with the likes of David Mitchell and Rob Brydon there, it seemed a sad waste of time listening to Johnny's often infantile rubbish.

He hasn't been on it before, but I knew he was coming as I read all the list of stars who are on this series online before it had even started. The only newbie left this series now is Sue Perkins although Danny Baker makes a return as well (not been on since Series A)

Not all of "the rest of us" did. I didn't find it embarrassing. Found it hilarious and it had me in stitches.

Furthermore, QI is not tired. This is a false perception. HIGNFY has been around for nearly 20 years, QI only seven. Why do you think it is tired? It sticks to a well-liked formula which is both informative and funny. Nothing has changed before or since it moved (it settled with its current format around series C, back in 2005), and it was always intended for BBC1 anyway. Tell me, exactly, what is wrong.

You know very well what I meant! Caught in the moment with a bit of rage, sorry!

No they didn't, in my opinion. It was very funny.

Yes, I'm well aware of the first episode, which I have on DVD. But a lot of that appears to be quite unsure of itself. I like the screen visuals, personally.

Ross Noble ruined yet another episode of QI on Friday - he was so embarrasing I couldn't bring myself to watch the XL edition. Why wouldn't he just shut up? - everyone on the panel looked embarrassed...

I'd like to see Ben Miller and Rob Brydon on more often, together if possible. I thought putting them together on the same team with almost identical shirts was hilarious and both are genuinely bright and funny men. More of them please.:)

Unless you are Alan Davis. I wonder if she was doing that partly because he wasn't. The show neeRAB a resident idiot, and he's got a bit fed up with that role.

Yeah last night's episode wasn't that great. Johnny Vegas is sometimes funny(I remember back to his Rhubarb Triangle comment from a couple of series ago, and marzipan fighter jets! :D ).

QI has lost a lot of it edge lately!!! The move to BBC1 has lost its cult status on BBC2, but also the longer length of the series seems to have made the quality drop a bit. They also need a wider variety of guests!
