He said on the show that they had to put a joke on every page to keep happy those people who thought it was a "joke book". AFAIK it's a book about the history, construct, type and variation of jokes.

You know absolutely sod all about the circumstances of people who post on the internet at Christmas.

For some of us, christmas has almost passed us by because of work, dependents or infirmity and you have no right whatsoever to pass judgement or patronise people who you know nothing about.

Your resolution could be not to be such a jumped up. obnoxious know all in 2010.
Good Luck!

On tonight's episode they said the train robbers weren't that great and featured it as a misconception (the point of all questions on the show).

Qi do know that the word "Great" in the "The Great Train Robbery" signifies the size of the bounty and not the efficiency of the operation.

As Stephen Fry well knows, the original meaning of the word "Great" is large/big and that is how it is meant in the title.

Yes, she hasn't been great in the last few series. When it first started she was ok, even when she threw in the odd vulgar joke.

I agree about the rest of the panel, even Sean Lock worked as I find he usually is the odd one out on the show.

I would like to see John Sessions on QI more regularly as he always strikes me as being quite knowledgable and can be funny too. I guess its tricky to get the right blend of three guest panellists, I would always prefer 'interesting' over just 'funny' but that's my own personal view. :)

Somebody tell Vegas his lardy boor schtick was painful when he actually was a drunken bloater. Now the booze and pies are out it is even more tiresome, if such a thing is possible.

I used to really like Jo as a panellist (and particularly liked the fact that she was a woman who could contribute as much as a male panellist would) but recently she hasn't been as good. Her deliberately saying the obvious answer thing is a bit annoying too, the whole point of it is that you avoid it.

I watched the XL edition this week having forgot its on early on Friday, I think I'll need to stick with the Saturday edition, it was exellent with much more room for amusing discourse that I'm assuming never got a look in on Friday.
