Also, if they weren't economically valuable, that is to say if such services had no value then why the hell would anyone bother to pay for it? Answer: they wouldn't, The very fact that it is being consumed proves your assertion false.

Just tell us why I'm wrong, if you're so smart

I say GDP is a joke because it counts money changing hanRAB rather than productive activity.

There is blatant double counting, you just call it "value added" even though you can't really describe what the added value is

Really simple question, why does a big GDP mean a better economy, when we know that GDP counts a lot of things that aren't actually contributing anything to anyone.

herpa derp derp, IBM is a middleman because otherwise you'd have to make the computer yourself!

What are you talking about. There isn't freedom of expression in America either. You exceed yourself and make a hard criticism about certain political figure or make a particular comment against certain religion/gender/race, and you get fired, and blacklisted from society.

Think of it as a slow and painful death.

No. the lawyers provided a service and were paid for it. They created economic value through the provision of that service reflected by their wage (or rather the demand for them is where the value is). Once again: services? How do they work?

I never said that. I said there is 1000 worth of productive activity, ie, food (or, gas!) produced, yet when calculating "GDP" they count a multiple of that actual productive activity, which makes GDP a joke.

Also, I happened to look at GDP-PPP (slightly less of a joke)

Which puts the USA at the 2nd largest economy in the world
