Hello,
I'm having a lot of muscle pain over my left shoulder blade. It's similar to the kind of pain I get if I wear a backpack or a bag slung over my shoulder and across my chest for a long period of time while walking, but it's never been this bad, and the pain is usually higher in my shoulder.
I did a lot of walking on Friday with my bag over that shoulder, but I had also done a lot more walking with a heavier bag two weeks earlier without any lasting effects... plus, this didn't really start bothering me until the next day.
The next day, I was in so much pain I started to feel nauseous. It's 3 days later, and I still had to take an Anacin this morning, which helped for a few hours, but now I'm in pain again. It's like a burning pain that radiates to muscles around it, and I have a lot of pain when moving my arm, and a little less pain when sitting in any position. The only time I have no pain is when lying down.
Is this a pulled muscle? Is it possible to get a pulled muscle from just carrying a bag around all day?
Thanks.
